In a meeting with players and staff today, Edy Reja requested to leave Lazio. The request was promptly rejected by President Lotito but the confusion continues to surround Lazio.

Talking to the media last night, Edy Reja expressed his unwillingness to continue under these conditions. Although on the surface it seems as though he cannot handle the fans' dissatisfaction, there is speculation out there that some of the players are not fully behind the coach.

Reja has told those present in the media that he wishes to resign but has yet to make an official resignation in paper. Reports suggest that Lotito is trying to keep the Gorizian tactician in Rome but the signs do not look good.

A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow with a variety of names being bandied about. Pasquale Marino, the ex-Udinese boss who failed badly at Parma last season is the favourite although ex-Roma manager Luigi Delneri is a strong contender and a coach Lotito is believed to like.

This just came in. I hope he leaves! Del Neri sounds good, but he isnt our quality, he is Merda, but better than the other one thats for sure!

I split this from the other topic before it takes over the thread.

Anyway, if we get Del Neri, we are officially the stupidest team in the league. With Del Neri, we'll finish no better than 10th and we'll watch the EL finals with binoculars. I'd rather take Delio Rossi back.

Del Neri would implement his 4-4-2 right away in which we'd have problems linking midfield and attack. Marino turned Parma into a mess last year and the year before that almost got Udinese relegated. Both would be bad ideas - Reja if he stays the he needs to abondon the Cisse on the wing idea, that much is obvious.

Where are Delneri's wingers, then? Bound to end in hell.

Nah, bring in Diego Simeone

I actually think Donadoni did well in Cagliari, wouldn't mind a go there if Delneri and Marino are the alternatives. Shit timing anyway, Serie B here we come, Lotito

While a lot of blame is being put on Reja. I really think he's our best option ATM. But out of nostalgia i would like Simeone.

The last two games we played were pure BS. But i have to say that tying milan at san siro was something to be proud of. The players just need to step it up.

I will re-iterate that if we had muslera and lichsteiner we would have won those games. Our problem is the backline once again and that is lotitos fault for not getting better players.

Reja got us out of relegation and an EL spot (almost champions league had it been for 1 lousy point). I wouldn't throw this guy under the bus so early.

I would take delio rossi back instead of donadoni or del neri.

Well, I agree too. It's too early. A week is a long time in football and within this week with have some big games, Cesena, Palermo then Sporting. Let's evaluate after these are over. One defeat is not enough of a basis in my opinion to sack a coach. Certain players have been abysmal and they need to step it up as well.

I think Reja's time is up. Last season he frustrated the hell out of us with stupid tactics, stupid subs and he's already doing the same this season. To be honest do you really see any future in having Reja? Can he take us to the CL? When pigs fly maybe. However the alternatives aren't that exciting. Benitez was shit for Inter, Del Neri shit for Juve, and Marino just shit everywhere. I think we should look abroad for our next man in charge. Simeone would be ideal.

Simeone is a great idea. But I think Reja should stay.

I would stay with reja for now and see how we perform in the next few games, because the guys linked with are shit and no better than reja or even worse.

I prefer us staying without a coach instead of having one of the above mentionned alternatives, but Reja is not the coach we need, he keeps making the same mistakes and I don't dare to think we may not jump the EL group stage.

To be honest, We can't blame all of things on Reja. He can't do shit with scraps in squad. Zauri, Konko, Biava, Marchetti, Lulic ara similar level with Makinwa, no more, no less. I actually want to see Tare and Lotito move their ass out of here before Reja.
