hmm, Lippi is a dream.Reja, for me is acceptable, We've might lost or win but we cant blame anything to head coach in several mistakes, this is unfair. How we played in 2 last season, how we played after Lotito sacked Delio Rossi and sign Ballamerda?.Lippy, Capello, Mourinho is great coaches but guess they can't do shit with a scrap squad  . Ppl said about Mihajlovic and Simeone before Reja but have look what the hell Sinisa did with Viola last year  and what Simeone've done in Catania. After all Reja did for us, he deserve to be trusted  .We need to learn from Napoli and AC Milan, we need someone who married with a long term plans and maintain stability.

A smaller percentage of the problem should be blamed on reja if anything. I was listening to fan interviews after the genoa match online and while a lot of them were critical of reja, other saw the other issues that were players not performing well and a poor mercato including one guy who made a comment about marchetti being nothing more than a backup keeper. IMO, the selling muslera is at par with blaming reja on tactics.

Lotito...

Quote
You journalists have got to report fairly and not always instigate, because by always focusing on the negative aspects, some people react in unbalanced ways,” Lotito told Sky Sport Italia.

“There are people who make death threats to Reja in the street, because not all supporters have the mental balance necessary to understand the way the media works.

“A good 65-year-old man cannot walk along the street with his wife and be met by people shouting ‘You have to leave’ with terrible insults. That’s not criticism. It is criminal.

“How did I convince Reja to stay? I will never allow fans or journalists to attack him in a destructive manner. Reja took charge of this team in a disastrous situation, took them to safety, then only missed out on the Champions League because of goal difference.

“There is an attitude there that is aimed at causing problems. Football is sport and has rules.”

^^^ And he's right in this case. The Italian sports media, for the most part, is infected by a bunch of irresponsible hacks who seek to provoke reactions so that they can report on them. They do it all the time. Since they can't actually construct a decent argument they resort to scandal mongering and worse, inventing news. They are little more than grasping papparazzi. Remember Mourinhos characterization of them? "Intellectual Prostitution" - one of the greatest lines in media criticism in history. And that's what they are intellectual whores.
