I realize many of us are dissappointed, and with good reason (this has been one of the most difficult and frustrating seasons in a long while). However, we play Inter on Wednesday and according to the rules, if we get to the final and the other team is lareeomar we would automatically get a birth in UEFA - which would be very good for us. On the other hand, if Catania managed to win - it would take a win to get in.

I think getting into UEFA is critical for us because it would put much more pressure on the management to come up with a strong team for next year. It also helps us keep and sign players if they know we will contend for international honours (and don';t tell me about UEFA being unimoportant - ask Fiorentina if they wanted it or not, or Bayern Munich - besides that kind of hubris is a trait of our pathetic "cousins").

I have heard that some fans are just giving up on the team, the season and the whole Coppa - I really think, without getting dramatic, winning a spot in UEFA will have a positive efect on this team. What are the thoughts out there on this?

This Wednesday is ALL or NOTHING. A win will alleviate the tension the fans have had all season and a chance to play in the uefa is a hope that we will do some investing. Not that I don't think investing will happen anyways due to our pathetic season. We did lose to Palermo but once again .. take a good look at the shitty players that were fielded .. not ALL our first choices right ?

I mean how bout we change the lineup to (not all position exact but you get the idea):

Ballotta - instead of Muslera
Rocchi - instead of Vignaroli
Bianchi - instead of Tare
Behrami - instead of Manfredini
DeSilvestri - instead of Rozehnal
Radu - instead of Zauri

That's almost a new team entirely. So even though I have panic attacks after some of these games. I guess the latter was to help the coppa clash. I'll try and have faith for wednesday and hope you guys too.

I hope throwing away points the last month was worth it for tomorrow.  UEFA is essential for us to become buyers in July and not sellers(except the crap that we have to release on our team currently.)
Throughout the headlines the only thing that bothers me is that ppl feel that b/c we held Inter @ home to 0-0 we're all of a sudden looking good.  Lets remember that if Inter scores just one goal we need to manage 2 goals on them to progress.  This is something in 3 games against them this season already we have failed to do.

Do or Die. This could be the a historic season or pure tragedy. The fans have lost faith in this team and I can't even bring myself to get up and watch the games anymore. I watched Inter vs. Milan because something told me that watching Lazio play would just bring heartache.

If they win tommorow and beat rioma in the finals ... it would be all worth it.

Although we did lose the game and i'm bitterly disappointed, i'm happy with the way Lazio played the game. Even at the 90th minute when there was absolutely no chance of winning the game they kept pushing for a goal, We overall played better than Inter but as usual our finishing isn't the best. I hate to say this but i hope Roma beat Catania..

What a huge let down! But I don't think it's possible to expect them to play better than that. We couldn't catch a break for love or money. It just seems that when we're not  playing horribly we get no breaks at all. If Ledesma's early shot goes in this is a completely different game. This season has been an utter bust....absolute failure. I am absolutely dejected.  I'm not sure taking it out on Lotito is the right move, but I will say this; if he tries to say that he isn't going to spend because we're not in Europe then I'm going to join the corus of fans who want to lynch him. He had better come through on his promises and build a team that can compete for a spot in Europe.

I dont think ledesmas early shot would've changed much considering this team has lost plenty of times this season even after they scored the first goal, we can never hold onto a lead... take last saturdays game against palermo. We need a new players, new coach and god willing a new president. We cant manage to beat inters reserves. I was so grateful they had toldo in net, no ibrahimovich and still that had no impact. I hope lotito knows how useless of a president he really is. This team needs a major makeover .. not just a few buys and a few sells. This season has been a complete waste. I will gladly sleep in on sunday morning and I hope they lose just so they can hit absolute rock bottom to know what needs to be done in the summer.

The lineup was completely in our favor, the highlights seem good but this team doesn't have it.  That was a The Inter D team.  Mabye its better we lost we might have been slaughtered by Roma.  Now Inter better win everything.  Last year this would have been a game to leave work or skip school, this year forget it.

Well, that just sums it all up. What a terrible season we've had to endure. Except for a pretty good stretch back in late February early March, it's been a tremendous dissapointment. So bad, in fact, that we are only 6 points out of the relegation zone. If we had lost one more game this season we'd be praying to avoid relegation right now--------how sad is that??

Anyway, I'm checking out now. I'm a huge baseball fan and Lazio hasn't given me any reason to care for the last month or so. So, I'm going to absord myself in my Red Sox and the rest of the MLB.

Have a great summer guys!

I'll check back when the transfer market talk gets good!

Forza Lazio

Even though I'll check the two last games, the season is over and has been for weeks now. I guess I'll put my attention to the norwegian league. Forza Lazio! See ya guys.
