Do I need to say that we haven't won a derby in 4, or that the pepperones are a direct competitor for a CL spot? No, because all of it doesn't matter. We win, and all is well - it's the most exquisitely existential moment in all of sports, the derby. I say, we go out with our balls out and seek to decimate, not just win. I want fury, hatred, disrespect...I want VICTORY. We have nothing to lose, they do.

We may be missing Dias and Lichtsteiner, but Muslera is back. But really, does the lineup matter? We won derbies with the Filippini brothers on the field, with Mutarelli on the field.... it doesn't matter.

Daje Lazio!

The rumours won't start circulating until Wednesday...This i'm certain of 1:1.  First they must crash out of the C.L and then all the injury questions marks will surface.

Eat those riomers for breakfast! Literally in North America, 10:00 EST is the game.

If Lichsteiner plays, Lazio have to put a marker on him as well. He tends to give Riom a lot of breaks including penalty shots.

I have been having premonitions the whole today varying from one extreme to the other. No doubt it will be like that until Sunday. In reality I have no hope of winning this but then again I am not in despair either. Just waiting for the Derby to unfold.

It indeed matters bugger all who is available and plays and who is not. Having said that, I hope for the return of Il Capitano. He is the only iconic SS Lazio figure currently in the team and his presence is required by me.

Is Lichsteiner hurt? I thought the only reason he didn't participate yesterday was because he was one yellow card away from missing the derby.

^^ Lichsteiner is hurt, looks like he won't start.

The CN is preparing a choreography that includes thousands of whistles and the theme is "Rigore paa' roma!" (penalty for Roma in Roman dialect). The term has bcome a catchphrase of antiriom sentiment.  Some fans have taken to referring to riom as "rigoria" (their training ground is at Trigoria)... absolutely hilarious!

The new coro is:

«T’amiamo… t’amiamo… t’amiamo… dovunque andrai saremo… saremo… saremo… perché tifiam la Lazio… la Lazio… la Lazio… nel modo che ci piace… ci piace… ci piace… oooh oooh oooh».

Here we go again, another Derby della Capitale upcoming. This is going to be a week of nerves and expectations. Gaining already enough disappointment from Reja's derbies, this time I think we should be fueled with rage to finally win and with our champions league ambitions this could be quite crucial. Every time merda wins against us, they start doing well and we lose our track and this is not the right moment for that.

We really do miss this type of player in our current starting 11. Remember Di Canio winning derbies with the Filippini brothers and Mutarelli in the midfield? As it has been mentioned, in the derby skill doesn't necessarily play decisive role. Rocchi has got that lazialita in him and he never failed to prove me wrong even when things were not going quite well. Last year against riom, I remeber him taking the ball from a merda defender and dribbling past a few defenders trying to find that desperate equaliser. We need that lazialita thing.

Exactly, we simply cannot afford to lose this game, its too delicate a time to go on a downward spiral as Napoli will pick up again and there seems to be no end in sight for Udinese's red hot form. Hard to believe that the last club to beat them was us way back in December.

Indeed, they've been given the runaround in Europe tonight. Frankly, there performances in Europes top comp this season have been a joke, an embarrasment. It's time break this four game winless streak, push us onto the CL and push them far far away from it.

This team in general is a joke...how they've managed to beat us with all the luck of the rigore and punizioni is unbelievable.

If there was ever a derby to win this is it!  Surely we will eventually qualify for C.L or Europe by eliminating them as a potential threat.  Not to mention that this is the derby that you get to celebrate into the summer with until next season.

Out of Champions League, Derby loss = One Fucking Great Week!  Let's make it happen.
