I caught Fiorentina who played well today, and should be a threat for a European birth this year. Pretty decent starting 11. I can't say I'm surprised Riom struggled, though I am that they lost. They've been woeful all pre season long.

Love it that Riomma lost, they throw millions away on the final day of the mercato and still get a beating from Cagliari, that is funny.  Basically they'll never do anything until they get rid of Totti.  Shame Juve won, they looked good especially with Pirlo.

Atalanta played very well, shame that Padoin missed last chance. Those little Moralez is one hell of the player.

Something is seriously wrong when riomma can't even count on a single pk!!!! This is unacceptable!!! Next week I want to see a rigorepaaaaaariommmaa!!!!!

Seriously though, there are no Italian coaches better than luweeesenwreekay? I'm happy they have him, and I hope he stays at least until December in order to do some real damage, but why would you pick up a youth coach from Barca? Meanwhile you have young Italian coaches that c an't buy a chance. Mah!

Nice goal from Miccoli ... who'd have thought Inter and Milan both would stall in the first round? haha good times

edit: Panilla??!! What a goal!! Inter are very poor defensively tonight

Palermo 4 - Inter 3 ... great game, both these teams those really strong going forward, serie a is going to be goooood

I think in some warped way they thought that it would automatically mean they would begin to play like Barca. Trouble is they don't possess an Iniesta, Xavi, Messi etc.

To be fair, there are only two foreign coaches in Serie A. Mihajlovic at Fiorentina, who has been in Italy so long he may as well be Italian, and Enrique. Serie A/Italy still produces great coaches, probably because those that succeed learn to deal with the pressure there is on instance success which really is second to none, ridiculous as that pressure may be at times.

What a game in Palermo as well. 35 goals in the opening round of Serie A and some brilliant games it has to be said. A great advert for this league.

This round of Serie A has really shown that teams have forgot how to defend more than great attacking play.  Inter looked so poor at the back, when they have been so good in previous seasons defensively.  Equally Milan were poor against us until we stopped attacking after 30 mins.  Hopefully this will mean a more exciting season, and plenty for goals for the Panzer and Leone Nero!!

That's not warped, it's mentally handicapped! It's like the worst stereotype of a north american ownership that doesn't understand the first thing about football and just says "ooo Barca , yes I've actually heard of them" . Remember, this is the same ownership that first said they wanted to buy players like Buffon and such. Laughable.
