After finishing 5th last season, Lazio are automaticly qualified for the 1/8 finals this season.
Yesterday, Hellas Verona had a tough challenge ahead. They travelled to Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma. After 37 minutes Ferrari surprisingly gave Hellas Verona the lead, and in the 61st minute Gomez Taleb made it two. It did not help Parma to put their star man Giovinco in. Hellas Verona managed to hold on and will now travel to Olimpico in the next round to face their old friends Lazio.

Good do see some old friends with a team we have very good relationships. But the good relationships must stay in the stands between the fans. In the game,we must win :-)

Lazio-Hellas Verona, i convocati biancocelesti
PORTIERI: Bizzarri, Carrizo
DIFENSORI: Biava, Cavanda, Diakitè, Dias, Garrido, Lulic, Radu, Zauri
CENTROCAMPISTI: Del Nero, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem
ATTACCANTI: Cisse, Klose, Rocchi,

After the humiliating lost game against Siena,Lazio comes back on the field for Coppa Italia against Hellas Verona.
Difficult match because Hellas Verona is on form, also is better that Siena and Lazio is with low morale after 4-0....The only good thing is that the stadium will be in superb atmosphere as all we now the two team and especially the fans have very very good relationships...If Lazio fans go to the stadium after the last result..

This lineup is very telling as its better than the one he fielded vs. Siena. I don’t know who decides what campaigns are going to take priority but the Coppa isn’t viewed as very prestigious in Italy. I don’t know why he’s fielding such a strong squad when we’re going through a bad string of form right now. Just field youth prospects and fringe players for this match.

Can we make a team out of that as that is as good as that line up will get.

No Ceccarelli,no Zampa (he is good for Europa League but not for a Coppa Italia's match???WTF???),no Cinque,no Crescenzi,no Vikaitis,no Capua,no Barretto.....If these youngers don't play in that kind of matches for at least 20 minutes...when will they play??Against Juventus or Milan??That's why some of our Primavera players leave and that is why we see them playing in other teams when they could play for us......Damn that mentality....Youth teams are the best ''sponsors'' but we do not see this fact.....

I agree that some of our starters this season should give way to Primavera boys no matter how disastrous those experiments might prove. Perhaps not in practice but you get the point. After losing 4-0 to Siena of all teams, though, it seems logical to try and build the best team possible for the next game. Hopefully the anniversary of SS Lazio has lifted the spirits of both players and fans alike to leave behind the humiliation on Saturday.

Yes,picking up the players that are most of the time in the starting 11,shows us that Edy considers the match serius...I can accept it...But one-two primavera players could easily be in the final 18 players for the game. They could easily play as subs if the game is going well for us....Anyhow,I am not the manager of Lazio.....I wish I was.....

We are probably going to use the Coppa for yet another run for Europe if not for the prestige. On paper we have some very promising youngsters, Emmanuel was pointed as one of the best young players from Africa, Cecarelli, Barretto-Think he is injured. Well, we are not going to see them any soon.
