Guys, i created this topic because i didn't see any topics about our talents  . Finally, i can notice a different between Bellar and Rossi.Happy to see Perpetuini and Luciani played in 1st team. Together with Luciani and Perpetuini, hopefully Gonzalo Barreto, Tuia, Mendicio and Kozak will get their chances next season. They are out future. No we don't. We produce nothing but average or mediocre players. Macheda was the only one who looked to have any star potential, and we let him go. Tell me I'm wrong, go ahead, but I'm not. We have bought practically every single player in the past 20 years for use in the first team. Mendicino, Luciani, Perpetuini, what do all have in common? They get minutes and they don't even touch the ball, or in the case of the former, don't even get a shot on target. |

Good point Theo, I agree with you.
To decide whether our youth acedemy is good or not, I have to see talent coming in young age and show something great. But I dont.
Honestly, I dont think we give the needed importance to youth. When I clear see that we dont give our all to first team, then why the hell Lotito and others would care youths ?
I dont want to see youngs playing 2 or 3 matches then forgotten. Ok, we cant judge a player who had little chances but, I dont know, when I first time watch a player, he gives an idea about him more or less, you can call me as biased but generally this is like this.
I know a sentence said by a big coach I cant remember the name, " if you can put one guy( very talneted promising and always starter) from youth acedemy in every 2 yearsi then you are doing great job." very true saying.
Of course we dont always expect guys coming from acedemy and save us then sell him and earn money. The biggest clubs give the required importance to youth but they are spending huge money at the same time.

There are many problems there but our Primavera kids played so many years in the last stage of the championship and finish 1-3 in our group. The situation in the youth isn't very good as Lotito wipe out every good coach that work for the youngsters, including legends as Volfango Patarca (ex Lazio youth boss). Coaches like that made players such Nesta, Di Canio, Di Vaio, Di Biagio, Marchionni, Pinzi... Now we have Coletta who is sent from Lotito to control the young academy, man who is believed that sent away Patarca. |

There are many problems there but our Primavera kids played so many years in the last stage of the championship and finish 1-3 in our group. The situation in the youth isn't very good as Lotito wipe out every good coach that work for the youngsters, including legends as Volfango Patarca (ex Lazio youth boss). Yeah good point actually - of course there are the odd number such as the Nesta's and Canio's of this world that we can take credit for... but I just look at the current crop, as you say, finishing regularly quite well in prima competitions, and then see them give, frankly, woeful efforts when we give them time. I've said this before, but I was so disappointed with Mendicino against Reggina last year. He had a good half an hour against a practically relegated, morally destroyed Reggina to make a case.. and he was awful. The signing of Barretto, 17yrs old, clearly is evidence that we don't have anyone coming through in the striker department to be of any use to the team. |

Well you got a point. I'm disappointed from Mendicino and Kozak at least what I saw from them last year. Btw we brought last year a kid from liverpool Pajtim Kasami, is he still alive or what.  |

Honestly, even if we bought that guy from Liverpool, lets be logical, if this guy is promising then why did they let him go?
And if you ask me, while we are in this situaiton, I cant judge coach to use youngs and see how they are. Inter can do, and others ho are in better situation than us in league table, when they are playing with lower teams, they can use talent coz they have enough credit. But we cant. We are looking for saving today and as long as we did it thats ok.
And the most important point, when let a young play and get used to team, if there are quality and experienced players, it is very good for them in their growth. Then look at us a bit. Have we any player who can impress youngs and help him getting something, maybe Rocchi or Cruz is the best candidate...
