Apparently Mauri's feelings were hurt so he told on Delio Rossi:

I hope Lotito tells him to shut up and get back to work!

Maybe next time you get on the field be a little more useful and put some heart into and you won't have to keep vignaroli company on the bench.

I can see this guy gone in the summer. Ah well!

Mauri should never play again this season Pandev is better in that role.

Agreed here also, Pandev did have a good showing as the 'trequartista'. It also affords us to get Bianchi in there also.

So he gets benched one game and he wants to leave? What kind of professional is this? He's had ample time to keep his job.  Besides if he goes to Juve he'd be sitting on the bench much more than he would at Lazio. If he leaves he'll turn into a Giannecheda. I hope he stays though and regains some confidence, he can do good things. Its been a bad season for everyone except for Pandev, I think we should cut him some slack.

I think if a players having a bad season thats no excuse. Obviously players have had better seasons. But if Mauri doesn't demonstrate value by the end of the season then I don't think we should award him with a second chance. We're in a position in the table to not have players under performing on the field.

I can understand not having a bad game but not an entire season. Like makinwa who was awarded enough playing time to prove himself as a valuable striker and failed was sent off to reggina. Whatever team they choose is up to them. Now that Makinwa got a fresh start on reggina not much as changed for him. He's still a scoreless striker so he can stay where he is.

I agree............we will see Mauri again. He's been way off this season but he's a proven player and he'll get another chance.

Stefano has admitted that he deserved the whistles and criticism  he received most of last year from fans and says he hopes to prove that he can be the Mauri of two years ago. Good on him for taking responsibility for his own poor play I have to give him a great deal of respect for this. Now he musty prove his worth, Forza Stefano!!! Forza Lazio!!! 00

Very respectable of him to come forward with that. I respect players who admit when they're in the wrong and announce they will give their 100%. I hope he can be the player he was 2 years ago again. I think if we use a trident attack using only 3 midfielders this will put some pressure on him to earn a place of the 3 selected midfielders. I think i prefer foggia as the trequartista where mauri has been used or meghni who has a creative flare.

He played like shit last year, I have really questioned about his presents then?! Let see what will happen but I think Foggia have already taken his place, hey his is far more younger and talented.

I agree. Foggia needs to be permanent and I hope he stays with Lazio for the long run.

If he can be at his best it will mean we have more variety and options going forward.
