Eliseu Pereira's BIOGRAPHY:
Eliseu Pereira dos Santos (born October 1, 1983 in Angra do Heroísmo, Azores), commonly known as Eliseu, is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays with Lazio in the Italian first division, as a winger with lightning speed.
His mother is from Cape Verde, while his father was born in the Azores islands.
Club career
Eliseu moved to Portugal's mainland in 2002, joining C.F. Os Belenenses from S.C. Lusitânia (in Azores) aged 19. He gradually broke into the Lisbon-based club's first team, appearing in 19 matches during his second season.
After a loan with Varzim S.C., in the second level, Eliseu continued to be a relatively important offensive player for Belenenses. However, in 2007–08 he, alongside countrymen Hélder Rosário and Paulo Jorge, moved to , helping the Andalusians to top level return after a two-year absence, with the Portuguese totalling 108 matches and six goals combined (three from Eliseu).
In 2008-09, Eliseu continued to be firmly established in the side's starting XI, netting his first La Liga goal(s) in a 4–0 away win over neighbours Recreativo de Huelva, on October 5, 2008. The following month, he also scored, in a 3–4 loss at Real Madrid.
On 25 June 2009, Eliseu joined S.S. Lazio for exactly €1.000.000.[1]

Courtesy of his Málaga performances, Eliseu was first called to the Portuguese national team for a friendly match with Finland on February 11, 2009, but did not leave the bench.
He finally made his debut on June 10, in a 0-0 friendly match in Estonia.
