Giuseppe Biava has joined SS Lazio...

Giuseppe Biava (32) is our second central defender purchase. He was supposedly a key player in the Palermo team that earned promotion to Serie A in 2004 after 30 years of absence and the club's first qualification in the UEFA Cup the following season. Those are his biggest merits. I really do not know what to think of him. I do not have a habit of watching Genoa play and do not have any recollection of him from this season against SS Lazio either.

Anway, welcome Giuseppe.

Welcome
Couldnt we just sign one quality defender, instead of two unknown ones?

Biava is hardly a player you spend whole January bargaining for so I can only assume Lotito signed what he could as a last minute resort. The only thing we can do is to wait and see if it was worth even that.

I know he played in the first 11 with the same formation like ours. 3 man defense in the back line, so I expect that he will adapt much better then Dias.

Anyway the damage is done so welcome Giuseppe

So according to some,

Dias is a good player because he has a good goal scoring threat.

Biava same.

Thanks youtube, and thanks to people for the analysis. I see no reason why we can't win 10-0 every week now.

I've learned these demo reels are nothing concrete about the player. I can make a demo reel of some guys i know that play in a bottom division soccer in canada and they'd probably look like amazing prospects too.

This goes for all our new acquisitions and why I don't see them as our saving grace ... These players are how old ? Played for which big clubs in their careers or in what leagues ? Got how many NT callups ? Scored against WHO ? EXACTLY!

dont be like that man, we gotta have faith in these signings otherwise were always gonna be down. but i do agree when i heard we signed him.... what the hell, his sooo old! id rather see a 17 year old rookie making mistakes and learning than some grandpa running out of breath..

I don't agree with Latius that he had a bad game against Parma. He was adequate which, ultimately, is better then what Siviglia can do. Biava is still a horrible signing along with Dias... but I certainly have more faith in Biava to give us something solid for a season and a half, basically until he turns 34, then the decline (which has already started) will be in full swing.

He is bare shit.
