Kolarov wants more money. He makes 250k apparently not enough to be highly talented but still very inconsistent in the Serie A. He admits even though he has a contract of 2.5 years remainung, he still feels Lotito should offer him more. Make him a reasonable offer (which he will probably turn down since, as usual, Juve and Bayern and others have already sabotaged the situation) and then sell him in June for a good price. Enough of this nonsense every 6 months.

Interesting. For what it's worth, he doesn't deserve a pay-rise, his moment of glory against Genoa is the only bright-spot in a piss poor half of the season for him. Still... he's a mercenary right? I mean at least Pandev gave us many seasons before he demanded more money... you going to go on an anti-Kolarov crusade and start using Italian and Latin phrases again? I get the feeling for Kolarov you won't.

He has no grounds to be asking for more money at this point. What sort of disease is spreading through the roster?

data venia I don't really see the connection - Kolarov us not at the same level as Pandev. The situations are different. I don't really care what Kolarov or Zarate do. If we get a good price for either, sell them. If Bayern wants Kolarov and is willing to spend big, I say get rid of him. I really don't feel like rehashing this entire argument, I think I've made my position, as well as my reasons for it (with respect to the Pandev situation) abundantly clear. condemnant quod non intellegunt

Lets look at it from his perspective, he makes a quarter of a million dollars before taxes, probably not enough to pay off his house and other bills (looking at it in the short term), in two seasons he has done fairly well above expectations and he now has a club that is willing to pay the transfer fee and probably give him more money yearly ontop of his contract. This will probably see Kolarov as a Millionaire instead of trying to pay off his assets.
From our perspective he signed a contract that is obligated to obey. Lotito owns his and its his decision whether he's sold or not, whether he gets a raise or not. They both agreed to the contract so Kolarov must obey.
In my opinion, if a high offer comes then Lotito should take it and reinvest. Of course we know Lotito will pocket a big chunk of it but it will surely increase Lazio's capital to spend in the market.
Also, its not like Kolarov's contract is expiring unlike Pandev where he just needed to play one more season. I am not surprised Kolarov and such others like Muslera are moaning for more money.(both contracts expire June2012)

Does every player who makes a couple of good matches have to moan for money? It's getting irritating now. Noone is arguing that he is a quality player but it seem he is greedy too. Come on man at least wait for the end of the season before u want more money. Show with your performance u deserve a better wage. No, he scores a goal, Bayern and Juve show interest and suddenly wage rise. Fuck u Aleksandar u greedy bastard! Sell him!
It seems nowadays the players don't show respect for the clubs that make them stars. They play only for the money. No honor, no nothing.

Kolarov will be the same case as Pandev if Lotito remain at the club, of course.

Why would these players stay at Lazio? Europe? Scudetto challenge? The reason we can keep our assets is money. From their perspective it's:
Lazio: Nutcase president, relegation battle, 250k. Bayern or Juve: Championship League, Fighting for trophies, 1 - 1,5million.
We lose.

If you want players to have incentive to play and compete in the game, you'd better pay. If not, then be happy having Firmini running the show.
Kolerov and Pandev are not greedy. Greed is when you want something more than fair market value. Kolerov and Pandev want the fair market value. Am I the only one who thinks Kolerov should be paid better than Cruz?
My message to Lotito: If you think you can build a real serie A team with Zarate plus 10 Firmini's, you are wrong. If you love these Firmini-type of players, go to series B, buy a team, and do whatever you want.
(No offense to Firmini. Firmini refers to those players who cost nothing and offer you nothing)

Why wouldn't kolarov get more money?! Okay if lotito actually buys a better left winger then maybe we should get rid of Kolarov, but I don't think this is going to happen. So if we want to have Kolarov Lotito must pay him! And I don't think it's a vaste of money really, Kolarov is a worldclass player (when he is in form) And yeah you can say that he hasen't played any good this season but honestly who has?! Forza Kolarov!

Kolarov can't possibly justify his demands for more money. I haven't seen many games this season, unlike most of u, however in the games i have seen he hasn't been very impressive. Thats not to say that he hasn't played very well in the past, but not enough to DEMAND a wage rise. If he goes i would consider it a loss because i don't think we have adequate cover and i can't see Lotito bringing in someone better.
The state of Lazio on and off the field this season is a joke and it seems to be just getting worse and worse as the months roll on.

Inter are looking to resolve their issues at left-back with an €8m bid for Lazio's highly-rated Aleksandar Kolarov.
The 24-year-old Serbia international has been a revelation since he joined the Biancocelesti in a €800,000 transfer from OFK Belgrade in 2007. Inter have endured problems at left-back ever since Roy Hodgson sold Roberto Carlos to Real Madrid in 1996, but they appeared to have solved them this time last year when Davide Santon came through the ranks and looked like the second coming of Giacinto Facchetti. The Nerazzurri were convinced he would make the position his own and decided to sell Maxwell to Barcelona in the summer, but Santon has proven 'psychologically fragile' and is currently out injured following a knee operation. Jose Mourinho is apparently a big admirer of Kolarov's talent and La Gazzetta dello Sport understands he has pushed Inter's technical directors into opening negotiations for him. Kolarov's agent, Sergio Berti, has already made it known that his client will not been renewing his contract when it formally expires in 2012. This means he can free himself in June according to article 17. La Gazzetta believes a bid of €8m and a couple of youngsters including Rene Krhin would be enough to tempt Lazio President Claudio Lotito into a sale.
