Should we sell ledesma? Things have changed and the players now have a lot of power with this article 17 and the bosman rule and let us face it, they may always win. He is emboldened now with the dual citizenship and just a year more to play before he can enforce that article 17.
Lolitto should have known this. I think the options are: 1: Sell him now. 2: Renew his contract and meet his demand for him to stay 3: Renew his contract so you can sell him for a good fee next season hoping he plays well this coming season 4: Take the risk, dare him and see if he will enforce article 17 at the end of this coming season. 5: Or maybe ledesma himself should wait, play excellently, try gat a call to play for azzurri before hge should ask for a raise. He was horrible last season.
We have a big issue on our hands, things have changed and we must look for more ways to make money so we can pay players well and buy better players. More investmens and the stadium project will be sweet for lazio.

I think wait until january and see how he performs. He was awful last season and has some nerve to expect more money. I think he will play better this year now that he's trying to get an international call-up and make a name for himself in the process. If we sold him now and signed another solid midfielder as planned it wouldn't be a tremendous set-back.

If we can get a creative midfielder i think we should sell him now or in january, it is obvious his mind is not here. Dabo and mudi can play the holding role i know.

A creative midfilelder like a pirlo is essential to this team no matter how many good strikers you have. Ledesma can stay til January to see performance and really should be a bench player until he improves. Hopefully a replacement can be found soon. Foggia or Pnadev can play a offensive midfield role but the creative midfield spot we have not had for some years. Not Behrami or Ledesma really fit this.

Do we want an unhappy player part of the team ? Considering his performance last season I would sell him based on that. Maybe Lotito should keep him until January and tell him he has to prove his worth or else find him another club. Pandev deserves to get more money judging from his last 3 seasons alone but Ledesma ??

^^^ And that's just it, he's a great player no doubt and we need him, But if he's going to be a virus in the locker room, then just sell him and get someone else.

HE DESERVES A BIGGER SALARY, BUT NOT TOO BIG FOR LOTTITO'S BUDGET. IN THE END, NO PLAYER SHOULD ORDER TO THE OWNER, EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T LIKE LOTTITO. WE DON'T NEED PLAYERS LIKE BEHRAMI WHO DO NOT RESPECT THE SHIRT THEY ARE WEARING. IT'S A SHAME. I'M DISSAPOINTED BY LEDESMA, I THOUGHT THAT HE IS BETTER THAN THAT.

Yeah I thought Ledesma was one for the long run. We put these players on a mantle and then they pull gestures like this. There really isnt too much time left in the mercato. We havent made any concrete moves in a while. I hope these wheels are turning in the background and we don't end up blaming shit on passports and fax machines in the end.

If you want to keep talented players and attract new ones, you have to pay them wages which are competitive with the top half of the table instead of with the relegation sides. All of these stories of disharmony within the Lazio camp seem to me to be either: a) pure media fabrications; b) reactions to an obscene salary cap system (we can invest millions in unproven new players but not increase wages at the club?); c) Lotito trying to turn the supporters base against players he wants to sell (remember Paolo di Canio's autobiography for an example). In my humble opinion, Cristian Ledesma is a brilliant player, but one prone to hot and cold spells, like almost any other. He is however the kind of player that the side needs to keep- we can't keep rebuilding our midfield every transfer window. A relatively simple solution: 1. Adjust the salary cap system to allow for an increasing wage scale over time which players can understand before signing on; 2. Sell players who rarely feature for the club and are beneath the standards we require of our first team (Baronio, Makinwa, etc.).

I hate myself for this player. Although I hate him and want him out, he has shown like one of the best players in Lazio on the preseason games. There are 2 options for him: 1) He will stay ( and get raise) and say that he likes Lazio, that all of that was just rumors. 2) He will leave us before the start of the season. We will see what will happened, till then 00 05 A Roma la Lazio c’e’ solo la Lazio 05 08 - That's me

Ledesma open to Juve move Sunday 17 August, 2008 Cristian Ledesma’s agent has refused to confirm or deny he is awaiting a transfer to Juventus.
“These are decisions that come down to President Claudio Lotito, so I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of negotiations,” said Vincenzo D’Ippolito.
“I have not been informed of anything, so we must await the end of the transfer window before having any clear picture of his future.”
Ledesma has already announced several times that he will walk away from Lazio at the end of the season using FIFA’s Article 17.
He is furious with Lotito for failing to renegotiate his contract and made no secret of his irritation at the way the President is running the club.
If the Argentine midfielder does invoke Article 17, it means he will only be able to join an overseas club for the cut-down price.
With this very tense situation and the possibility of losing him for a minor sum on the horizon, Lazio could be prepared to sell him to Juventus now.
It would not be the first time they have taken such action, as Valon Behrami was in a similar situation when he was released for West Ham United.
Juve, meanwhile, are seeking a more creative figure for their midfield in order to celebrate qualification for the Champions League.
Cristiano Zanetti and Marco Marchionni are both out for a month with muscular injuries.

^^^ I hope we can lose Ledesma and end this saga once and for all. A move to Juve hopefully also means some good coin for us to buy a suitable replacement. I hope by the end of this week we can finalize another transfer. It seems everything came to a standstill and we've been hearing nothing but rumours.
Daje, bring us Crespo, Moti and Fernandez.

05/11/2008 11:45 Ledesma’s Agent Leaves Door Open Lazio midfield man Christian Ledesma had threatened to walk out on the Biancocelesti this summer, but his agent feels not everything is lost. The Argentine ace warned the Aquile that he was prepared to walk away next year, using the renowned FIFA Article 17, therefore buying out the remaining year of his deal.
But his representative Vincenzo D’Ippolito has now revealed that his client is ready to start negotiations with Lazio chief Claudio Lotito, in order to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
“Christian never said that he would shut the door in Lazio’s face,” D’Ippolito told newspaper Il Tempo.
“Of course, the parameters of a new deal need to be re-discussed, but we have already spoken about this with Lotito. At the end of this season, we will better evaluate the situation and listen to what the directors have in mind.
“As for the Article 17, we are not willing to go that far, but if it will be necessary, we are ready to exploit it.”
Ledesma’s contract runs out in 2011 and he could invoke the Article 17 next June, in order to break off his contract early.
