Anyway, on the one hand I appreciated Ballardini's comments for the fire and balls it exhibited - but it's one thing to  say the player need sto pass more or he didn't have a good game or the pk argument with Kolarov was childish etc. but this public airing of dirty laundry was over the top and I can't imagine why he would do this. How does this help?

Was it balsy to say such a thing after a 4-1 that maybe puts him in a good light? Im not sure. Him, Tare and Lotito said nothing when we did not win for an eternity, they hid away keeping their mouths shut. For me, it would have shown more balls to come out during the bad spell where we could not buy a win and admit that things were wrong, that things were not working. I feel its too easy for Ballardini to run his mouth after a victory. Maybe he feels he is untouchable. Months without a win did not get him the sack, so maybe winning two of our last three games makes him feel like a King.

If he felt Zarate did not listen to him behind closed doors, then he should have droped him from the squad, left him on the bench perhaps. For me this public airing of dirty laundry was not what the team needed after a decent second half performance where spirits would have been lifted. Neither was Ballardini shouting abuse at the fans from the bench apparently, but thats another story.

As for the apology, well the request of that didnt need to come out in public either. Should have been made behind closed doors again for me, instead of constantly making a soap opera out of our club. Its been said time and time again, but under this management we will always have probelms that should not be there.

Lotito said today that he supports Balla and that (quote): "Ballardini was right to say those things, we must go away with individualism."

I already said what I think about this issue and you all made some good points.

Zarate is not the only one, Kolarov and Diakite were also mentioned. All three the most talented players and potential stars at Lazio. I wonder why he avoid comments on Baronio and Sivigla.

Day by day I hate this fucktard even more.

Wow..... Its great having a team full of fucking children! (player):"Apologize you hurt my feelings/benched me/not pay me enough" (Management):"no, I wont apologize. in fact you should be apologizing to ME!" over and over again. I know athletes are a like little kids, and typically require what are know as kids gloves when handling, but this is just ridiculous.

than again this could all be about wanting to trade him and just putting on a show to make it look like something more. even if arsenals $40mil isnt true. some one wants him and lotito is all about shit'ing this club

Even though Balla is right about Zarate`s selfishness he should adress his unhappiness in the dressing room.

Ballardini vs Zarate?

Get rid of them both before the end of the season. Summer at the latest.

IMO Ballardini is at fault because it's quite clear he has installed ZERO discipline at this club. Hence all the red cards and  bookings we have had this season. FURTHER still rather then punishing players for such (Baronio's petulant red cards.. Zarate selfishness) instead of dealing with it internally and saying 'Your dropped until you get your head straight' he continued to play them. It's easy, Zarate should not get anywhere near the 1st team and yet he'll trott onto the pitch tomorrow afternoon. Boh?
Ridiculous!

agreed, send him back to premier league!

Lotito is not ready to pay 5 millions for a defender, but pays 23 for a overrated striker who shot 2 goals this season?

balla HAS TO LEAVE!!!

Using the media to channel his thought to the players mean that he has completely lost CONTROL and RESPECT in the dressing room.

And most fxxking thing... Lotito is standing behind Balla!?!!  They have a love affair or something?

Balla's method of punishment may well have been far from the right one but Zarate's brother is simply WAY out of line threatening Lotito to choose between Maurito and Ballardini. Ridiculous. It seems this season will be remembered for infighting and drama rather than football.

And most fxxking thing... Lotito is standing behind Balla!?!!  They have a love affair or something?

Balla's homosexuality would explain Baronio's perennial inclusion in the starting 11. I knew it.

Baronio already conquers the italian football since he is young, its unfair to blame him. His pass @ Rocchi in Lazio vs Liporn was awesome. Sorry for OOT

im behind Balla. In outside football, its not very rare managers talked harsh to their players, & a mature players, will react to improve their performance.

can be said Zarate (or Zarate's brother exactly) is a crybaby.

Baronio is 32 years old. Players are not considered young until they hit.. hm.. 26-27.He came from Serie B to automatically having a starting position on our Lazio and at times carries our Captains armband. Baronio is not worthy

anyways, I think Ballardini is right. He has worked with youth before and I believe every champion must have a great deal of discipline and professionalism. Zarate still needs to learn these virtues.

Zarate and his brother are douches, I mean come on. This season the mighty Sergio has been claiming "Zarate the only bright light for Lazio this season"?? How the fuck do you get that? He has scored 2 goals and is so fucking selfish it's unbelievable. Rocchi - Floccari is the way to go.

Maybe this is just an excuse to get Zarate out of the club? The guy thinks he's Real Madrid material so why not just sell the motherfucker and let him become another Saviola case.

I'm a bit surprised to read no-one really sticking up for Zarate. He may not of scored many this season but at least it looks like he's trying compared to most of the other  crap in the team. He practically won us the Coppa Italia with goals in the Semi and Final out of nothing and gave us magic that had been missing since the time of Veron and Nedved. He is about the only player worth watching at the moment, and he may be selfish at times but from a footballing perspective why bother passing to players that are so much shitter and keep losing the ball? He is frustrated at not winning and not scoring and this aggravates the problem. Good management of such a talent would suffice, unfortunately we have a complete retard as a "manager" who slags off the star player in front of the media. What would happen if Zarate had said "The reason we have lost so many this season is because Lotito is a dickwad and Ballardini's tactics are completely shit"?? Those who said its funny how Ballardini said very little when we are losing were right, he did far worse that Delio with an equivalent squad and obviously can't motivate a cow shit.

Lazio has turned from a football club into a soap opera/drama. Yes Zarate has to fix his attitude but I agree with whoever said this should be discussed behind closed doors. Ballamerda and Lototti have stooped even lower than Maurito by bringing this business to the public and continuing to participate in it. They need to learn to keep their mouths shut when it counts .. not just when they ruin this clubs reputation by taking it to an all time low. Zarate or Ballamerda ?? that's an easy one ... zarate .. he's contributed something to the club despite his attitude .. who the f**K is ballardini ???
