The Argentinian hitman is fighting to rescue his team...
Mauro Zarate is ready to escort Lazio to safety as the club hovers above the relegation zone.
Deplorable form has seen the squad sent to Norcia for a five-day ritiro as they prepare to face Cagliari.
Zarate will not play that game as he sits out the final game of his suspension.
But he has reportedly told friends he will shoulder the responsibility and blast the team away from the drop zone when he returns.
"I will save Lazio. I owe it to these fantastic fans," he told friends, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
Zarate is expected to return next Wednesday when Lazio take on relegation strugglers Siena.

It's so naive to think he did that just because they told him to do maybe he is stupid but and 5 year old kid knows what that salute mean .Fans love him and now they want Zarate to be captain starting from match against Siena replacing Rochi because of last statement in media . His form this season was poor but now he is trying to take responsibility and get Lazio out of this disaster and it seems Zarate is only one who he really loves and care for Lazio , i know its all lotito fault for this situation but the attitude of players like Muslera and Kolarov its unacceptable they don't give shit about fans and club the only worry for them right now is in which club they will play next season . Forza Lazio Non Mollare Mai P.S I know that my english sucks |
