This really should be new thread as a striker debate. I don't think anyone is discrediting Floccari .. at least that i've noticed.

Pandev is part of Lazio history whether you accept it or not, just like lotito and totti who are both merda are also part of Lazio history and are the REAL antagonists of this club. I don't see an injustice in supporting pandev whatsoever but if you support lotito at this point in any way you might as well buy yourself a totti jersey while your at it.

Zarate has not been a complete flop NOT for a few games BUT THE WHOLE SEASON, so understand why i am bitter towards the highest paid player on our team which scarcely spends money. Yeah i guess i'd give him another shot but hopefully he can put his huge ego aside next season, humbled himself a bit and do what a striker is supposed to do... SCORE! If this kid doesn't pan out next season .. ditch him fast because we aren't a club that has the money or resources to continue to gamble on players in HOPE.

Great debate guys

Though I must say I do not approve of the discussion and labelling of 'Pandevites.' Imper you are obsessed with it. MOVE ON!
I do agree however that Pandev is a part of history but nevertheless, I haven't given him a moments thought since he left. There's too much be focussed on Lazio wise.

I may be harsh towards him but the bottom line is we, or rather Lomerda, put all his hopes (and hence budget) on this arrogant, stupid fucking kid who promised so much but doesn't deliver. Despite our league position, it has been a terrible, terrible season - and a part of that, a big part imo, was owing to the sept 09- january 2010 before Floccari arrived. Remember the tantrums and sulks two seasons ago when Zarate got taken off, for Rocchi or Pandev? He wanted the limelight. Well we gave him all the fucking limelight he needed before January's mercato and he did not deliver. People like to make excuses that Zarate has lesser good players surrounding him... Dabo/Mauri/Ledesma/Baronio/Meghni are all the same shit, so what does it matter?

The worst of it all are his dumbass comments, which I try not to read but it's inevitable since someone usually posts them. 'I'm not selfish... it's because my strength is dribbling.' Or whatever he said to that effect. It's as dumb as me having a go at a scouser and saying "I'm not rude, it's because my strength is taking the piss out of you lowlife scum"...

I would like to state clearly and simply my opinion of zarate(seeing as so many have staid from that goal)

zarate had an amazing break out season IMO thanks in large part to his confedence, good play from the midfield and a decent coach. it is not simple that nothing changed and zarate just fell off. lazio's mid went from: Foggia, matuzlem, brocchi, and ledesma(solid and capable of moving the ball) To: baronio, and who ever the fuck balla decided to throw out on a wim. many times playing zarate was stuck in attacking mid. add to that zarate's partner up front went from pandev to cruz. I think now with floccari and some addition to midfield a resurgence could be likely for zarate. as for his inability to pass the ball, there is no excusing this years selfishness, but again we have seen otherwise. I remember numerous times season 08-09 zarate passing in the box, and literally hitting his teammates in the face with the ball from out side (sadly i remember them missing the net) over and over again. my judgement: keep him if he does even half as bad next year...sell him

I fully agree with you bro. It is true that the midfield was horriblle this year and lets easy him for that but in football when you have weak midfield you HAVE TO play direct style, jump up the midfield and play widelly with the wings and in that situation the attackers HAVE TO finish on first touch.By the way, thats exactly how Reja change the Lazio`s strategy with giving Kolarov and Lichsteiner more attacking roles. My point is we can easy him for the shitty midfield but not for always trying to slow up the play with driblings. He have to change that mentality otherwise his next season will be even worst than this one and he`ll be probablly watch the games from the bench and Lazio will lost a lot of money.

Zarate its most skillful player at Lazio and he can be world class player if he change attitude . Its mistake thinking to sell him because and with 40 milion euro i dont think lazio can buy a player with talent and future like Zarate .

*facepalm*

What is that team exactly, 3 decent players, 8 retards? What the fucking hell is Cribari doing wearing our shirt again?

Hernanes may be all that but that will instantly be neutralized by the thought of that fugliest twat lining up against Samp...

Zarate was left out of the squad for the Levante match. Reja said the player disrespected the coach and the team and was therefore left out. But the coach also said that the player had made amends. mah!

Zarate has brought to this team trophy after long time of us dreaming about one and he did and by all mean by himself , yes last season he was flop but its not because of him , sometime yes selfishness, look on our midfield last season not even one proper play maker in the team for almost 6 month , coach was the worse , problems all over the team , what do we expect from him ?
Zarate is one of 2 or 3 stars in calcio who can really dance with the ball around and in the 18 yards, he worth around 40 m and he is just 24 , he has some bad attitude at times but plz compare him to Cassano when he was on his age and plz compare his attitude to Balotelli !
2 years more and than I guess all of us will know who is real Zarate , dont go that far watch him this season and you will know what I mean.

Zarate is worth 40 million? So he is worth as much as David Villa and Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Absolutely ridiculous.

The story of Zarate last season was that he scored three goals, cut a frustrated figure on the field, insulted the fans and rarely passed the ball when he would have been much better doing so. He showed he has talent in his first season, and showed he was petulant last year and inferior to talents of a similar age such as Pato, Jovetic, Cavani. If however he plays for the team this year then he could have a very good season and maybe get back to how he played in his first year with the club.
