In my opinion this guy needs to be kicked. Yes he has done much for us but he is older then Lotito !!!!

Siviglia: We Need To Mature
Lazio defender Sebastiano Siviglia believes that his side needs to mature in order to achieve better results in the future...

Lazio started off the season in prolific manner, winning four of their first five matches in Serie A and finding themselves in first place. However, since that point Lazio have not had the same cutting edge and have fallen down to fifth place.

Sebastiano Siviglia has been with the Biancocelesti since 2004, but has voiced his concern about the side's ability to step up to the next level.

"I expect a successful season," he told RadioSei. "However, we need to improve our maturity to achieve significant results. To hit our targets we need to make a considerable jump in maturity, but we have the quality and squad numbers do so."

Lazio face Siena at the Stadio Olimpico, before the derby, which is expected to be an even more fiery affair due to Roma's inexplicably poor start to the season.

"If we play this game properly and with the right concentration, we can go into the derby with more serenity," he stressed.

Siviglia is expected to be in coach Delio Rossi's starting XI on Sunday afternoon against the Tuscan minnows.

Hope not to mature like him

I thought his contract was up but apparently he turned up to pre season training today. What's the deal with his contract? Will we see super Siviglia for (at least) another season? (Has over 120 appearances for us, RESPECT!!!)

UGH, another year with the old man on defense. I really hope we can put someone we'd want to see in that position instead of a shaky diakite or ol' man siviglia. I've been cursing seeing that guy for 3 seasons and was happy when he got injured. Playing a 35 year old defender might make sense when it's a cannavaro or a maldini .. but this guy is not only old but he isn't a great player to start. If this team ever wants to achieve great things it won't be with the calibre of players like this guy.

Thankfully, his lover in Delio Rossi has gone. Stendardo has returned, and maybe will start ahead of him though im not sure that will be any better. Ultimately we need a new centre back.

We're trying to get rid of Stendardo too so I'm nit sure Siviglia is going.

HAHAHA!

The funny thing is we've been talking about getting a centre back for the last 2 years. Hopefully Ballardini has picked up on this.

His contract is up to 2010. I can't say that I don't like Siviglia but he's very old to help us. We need to get a younger DC and have Siviglia at least as a sub...
