Inzaghi Will Get More Chances Now - Rossi

Lazio coach Delio Rossi says Simone Inzaghi's recent goal against Lecce has increased his chances of playing more frequently in the future.

After scoring a vital equaliser for Lazio in the dying minutes of their recent home game against Lecce, it would seem striker Simone Inzaghi, who hadn't scored for four years, is back in business.

In spite of his problems with the club, who reportedly wanted him to leave last summer, the name Inzaghi remains a guarantee for goals, even though Simone's career pales in comparison to that of his older brother Filippo.

Lazio coach Delio Rossi spoke about the player's situation to newspaper Il Messaggero.

"This goal will allow him to get more consideration," he said. "But now he has to be careful and keep his feet on the ground."

At the end of the match against Lecce, 'Inzaghino' thanked Rossi for bringing him on the pitch instead of Stephen Makinwa.

"When Simone showed he was doing well," Rossi continued, "I did not have problems putting him on the bench instead of Makinwa, but in the last three years, also often due to physical problems, I couldn't possibly have let him play."

winning over the coach but that still leaves him as our 4th or 5th choice striker.

At this momoent in time I thing Inzaghi is our 3rd choice striker behind Zarate and Pandev. Inzaghi is fully fit and in good form whereas Rocchi is not, yet.
Isn't it great to see Rossi have renewed faith in Simone?............. 00

Sorry brother, but even a recovering Rocchi is a 100 times greater than Inzaghi. Inzaghi is our 4th striker .. nothing more ... nothing less. I'm happy we have him as a 4th because I think he's coming to form but I don't want to see him starting until he can further prove his value. I wish him all the best but he needs to come on in the 70-80th minute and show value to get more playing time.
