It looks like Stendardo asked to be released, i've read that Milan wants him and would trade him with simic .. I WISH!.. but I cant see this happening .. apparently Sampdoria and Torino are interested in him .. but he grew up in the Napoli youth system and wants to play for Napoli and looks like Napoli's interested .. which seems very possible.

I think he's an average player and never really stands out in games .. I hope we can get rid of him and pick up someone better and consistent in their play.

I've read two separate articles which were exchanges Stendardo-Caracciolo and Stendardo-Simic. I think Simic would be good because we need a good central defender and he's a bull, however hes 32 and I think it might be wiser to invest in young talent ... on the other hand we can get Caracciolo who's 26 but is a striker and I wouldnt want Caracciolo representing the striker we've been waiting for unless we can offload Makinwa and still bring in another striker who actually comes from a good scoring record.

Stendardo goes and what do we get another mediocre unproven player that if we are lucky will measure up to the player lost.  Simic is old but the better of the two any defender even short term is badly needed and defenders are still good into their mid 30s.  It's really hard to care about this when there are so many other larger problems.

I'm more concerned with a player like De Silvestri leaving who may turn out to be a good player for the future.

De Silvestri is said to be unimpressed with the current offer on the table from Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito and is considering leaving.

and Rossi possibly being replaced at the end of the season.

I'm a little confused b/c in October or November UEFA.com reported that Lazio had struck an extension deal w/ De Silvestri till 2009

Yeah im pretty sure Lotito renewed his contract for 2 or 3 years soon after he signed him. He's pure Lazio pride .. i dont see him leaving.

Willy has publicly written a letter of appology to the club, his team mates and the fans. I think he is currently lying face down in the snows of Canossa...boh?

In any event, I personally never  minded Willy and he did score from time to time. While he won't see us make a jump in quality, Stendardo will give Balla another option where we need it most. Welcome back Willy. Daje!!!

(ANSA). MS 03-NOV-09 12:12 NNN

I still stand by what I wrote almost 2 years ago up top. I STILL think he's just an average player and I hope THIS TIME we'll be able to find that guy another team during the mercato along with Siviglia, Scaloni and Cribari. Good luck to him on the field, if we play him I hope he does well but in no way do I want to see that guy regularly start.

I like him and I hope he can be added to the 11.  His great for corners, very tall meaning he can get up to  crosses delivered. He had a great season in 06/07 with Juve snapping him up on loan. I hope he returns and can deliver some much needed inspirational performances.  00

Nonetheless, for me he is better then Siviglia...I say play him along with Diakithe as CDs and put Radu in left fullback position(his natural pos.) so you can try Kolarov as a midfielder! Balla write this down!

P.S Balla stupido this plan good might work. I should make very good coach because me smart not Lotito Forza Lazio
BTW I have nothing against the Indonesians because my English is slightly better than theirs

He is the best defender in Serie A i think. If not, it's because he is so underrated.
- He is unbeatable header
- His marking so sticky, both zonal & man to man
- Decent tackle
- Great Aerial Ability
- He can read the game very well
- He is the best, lol

I'm an Indonesian,, so ? Yah, your english better than mine maybe.

That's what I was thinking .. glad we're opening up one more option but in no way shape or form do I want this guy to be the defender we've been waiting for to take over our central defense. We need TWO CD's that we can depend on like we do in lichsteiner.
