Welcome back Willy. Daje!!!

Great news, no defenders in January then.

That's what I was thinking .. glad we're opening up one more option but in no way shape or form do I want this guy to be the defender we've been waiting for to take over our central defense. We need TWO CD's that we can depend on like we do in lichsteiner.

What's pissing me off is just our overall lack of ambition when it comes to signing CB's.  Look at this:

Cribari: Signed from Udinese, after only playing 8 games in one season.
Stendardo: Signed from Perugia, after only playing 13 games in one season.
Artipoli: Signed from Samp, having hardly played any games in his life, and not one for Samp.
Siviglia: Signed from Lecce.

My point? Why the fuck we always get average or mediocre, cast-off CB's from piss poor teams? Look at Genoa or Palermo, signing Sokraitis or Kjaer ( for similar prices to what we pay for players, btw)  for example, gambles for sure, but calculated ones, rather then raiding the nearest relegated or underachieving Italian teams, safe options like we do.

Radu is a step in the right direction, although I'm still undecided about whether he's actually all that. Regardless, my opinion stands. Anyone agree?

He is the best defender in Serie A i think. If not, it's because he is so underrated.
- He is unbeatable header
- His marking so sticky, both zonal & man to man
- Decent tackle
- Great Aerial Ability
- He can read the game very well
- He is the best, lol

BTW I have nothing against the Indonesians because my English is slightly better than theirs

I'm an Indonesian,, so ? Yah, your english better than mine maybe.
Good for you bro! I don't want to argue with you but you need to stop pointing your finger at me!

I have always been a fan of Willy, I think he continues to prove himself, not only on the field (where I think he is stolid and useful, if not extraordinary) but also off the field where he is becoming a voice for the fans and a voice for Lazialita.

Forza Willy!

Mediocrity is what you can expect from the Romanista running the club.

As for Stendardo, I never liked Stendardo in the past, but lately he's really stood out. He's a workhorse, wins headers and actually managed to score 2 goals this season.

He's a step up from the flops picked up over the mercato (Dias and Biava). I can't believe we lost Rozehnal and Lollo for these two clowns.

HAH quoting me from November 2009? What can I say, my opinions have serious credibility AND longevity

Stendardo is not a man I want us to build our defence around... but considering that he is our best CB we have (Radu is great too but he is a natural LB, so technically doesn't count) I guess we'd do well to keep the fucker.

Alright, I know stendardo is pissed off his nose is smashed and everything but toni did not kick him in the face on purpose. The ball was there probably a little over waste high, stendardo went in with his head and toni went in with his foot. Toni publicly apologized to stendardo and stendardo replies by saying he doesn't accept his apology. What an asshole.

yes, Toni is atleast a gentleman..You can't really blame Toni for what happened either. He was trying to bring the ball down and Stendardo was doing his defensive job by trying to head it back to Muslera. Unfortunately his face got on the receiving end of Toni's boot.

But Stendardo didnt accept apology for a reason. A few seasons ago when we lost 1-0 to Fiorentina and Toni scored the winner back then, the goal involved a similar scenario where he stuck his foot up high to knock the ball in, and hit Stendardo on the head whilst he was trying to head it away.

Some players have a style of play that is inconsiderate of the health of other players. Tomi is known to throw his gangly legs around so I guess that's what Stendardo is angry about. Boh?

I know this is an old post but I wouldnt call Dias a flop! IMO he's the one signing we made in January (bar the Floccari loan) that was good. Save the error vs Catania, I like this guy's style.

Rozehnal on the other hand was one of the worst defenders I've had the misfortune of seeing play for Lazio.

Radu is a cut above everything else we have at the moment. Will move to one of the big three if we don't start making moves toward a contract renewal soon.

Stendardo? Well I have a great deal of respect for the way he goes about his business. Hope for a quick recovery. Not every CB has the technical ability of a Nesta, you need a big physical guy in the mix and for me, Stendardo is a more refined footballer than Diakite who has a fair bit of work to do.

Absurd. He was great for us. Far more people agree with me on that I'm sure.

Besides, wtf is your agenda anyway. Quoting me from November 2009?
