This kid was the best player we get in the summer. He really impress me with he games. I think Lazio has tradition of attacking right-back's: Oddo, Behrami, De Silvestri now Lich.

Lazio's Lichtsteiner Inspired By Maicon
Lazio defender Stephan Lichtsteiner discussed Lazio's credentials for this season and revealed who he believes are the best players in his right-back position...

Swiss international Stephen Lichtsteiner has certainly been one of the buys of the season so far in Serie A, as he continues to perform well for his club side Lazio.

The Rome outfit started the season firing on all cylinders, but they have since suffered a few minor hiccups and Lichtsteiner spoke about what he believes the Biancocelesti are capable of.

"The Scudetto would be the maximum achievement," said the 24-year-old. "It is extremely difficult to compete with the bigger teams, at the very least we need to get into the UEFA Cup."

Lichtsteiner has been a solid performer at right-back for Lazio and revealed who he believes are the best players in that position in the modern game.

"Dani Alves (Barcelona) and Maicon (Inter) are the best in my role," claimed the former Lille defender. "They are held in high esteem and have inspired me to improve my game."

Lichtsteiner will likely be in the starting line-up when Lazio host Siena at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon.

no question he's been a revelation and arguably the best move we nade for the money (around 1.5 million). I think he will be one of the best.

Hard to pick the better signing between him and zarate.
Di silvestre himself will be too impressed and unashamed he is always on the bench because of lich.

I hate that two superb players in the same position. But De Silvestri is younger then Lich so he will get he's chance.

Yeah I don't see having de Sil and Lich as a huge problem.  I do think though if we keep Lich long-term it would be wise to try to implement a formation in which they are both on the field.   Lich on the right side of the midfield and deSil in his usual right back seems the best way to try this, we would be absolutley unreal down the right flank.

I think moving lich all the way to the other side wouldn't happen. It's rare you see a player move to the complete other side. I think we should try working both of them in defense and shuffle Desilvestri over to Siviglia's role who clearly isn't performing well:

Lich - DeSil - Roz- - Radu

or

Move Lichsteiner to the mid in front of desilvestri kind of like we did with kolarov who seems to be moving into a midfield role. I'd rather Radu then Kolarov on defense but Kolarov plays the mid quite well.

Radu and Silvestri play on the flanks but i think they can play as a center-back in central of defend line. like the Chiellini case, he was a full-back and now hes doing great in center

Just when I thought that it can't be more sick.

Lichsteiner wasn't injured, Ballardini said that he is on bench because of technical choice.

Yesterday he was approached by some fans outside the Tribuna Monte Mario, and he revealed that he had been relegated to the margins of the team for expressing criticism of the company with regard to issues related to Ledesma and Pandev.

We didn't learn the lesson.

It's like CurvaNord said on the video that was posted here, it doesn't matter how good you are in training, it's who's ass you kiss. Firmani didn't show up for the Pandev case and has been involved in the first team since, and now Lichtsteiner criticizes the managements methods and he gets put out in the cold? I'm not his biggest fan but Jesus Christ. Lotito has no idea how to run a football club and this egoistic shit is killing us.
