This is a rather vague topic, but anyway, we know that Makinwa, Foggia, Floccari, Carrizo, Del Nero, Zauri and probably Cavanda need to be moved. As for who should come in, we need an attacking winger and a CD.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for the efforts in this forum, also letting Lazio fans to express their opinions. as for the subject, i agree with the list you mentioned and i think Matuzalem, Sculli, Alvaro Gonzalez & maybe Zarate should be included also. as for who should we bring, Gago was available. there are many talents in south america but it's hard to find a good CD these days.

A central defender would be the priority because if you lose Biava or Dias then all of a sudden the CB line looks weak. Talk of putting Diakite in their is ridiculous while we need to look for better than Stendardo as back up.
Sculli got a lot of flak when he came in but really that criticism should have been directed at Lotito for spending 1500 euros in January. He's shown himself to be useful, weighing in with goals and contributions here and there. A player like him can fill in here and there when the fixture list gets cluttered.
I torn on Zarate. On the one hand I am tired of his petulance. On the other its clear he has ability, but if it can't be harnessed to the benefit of the team then we have no option but to cash in.

You are absolutely right. I don't see Sculli deserve to play in Lazio. |

Above all else a Central Defender capable of playing with Dias is a must. Unless Radu gets moved back which I doubt. Lullic is not here to play left D. That much I can tell.
Once Konko returns we'll have to see where he slots in and how useful he is. For now it looks like we have a lot of depth going forward should we keep hold of Luciano "tail-between-his-legs" Zauri, Floccari, Carrizo and co. I'm not saying they are good back-ups but depth chart players nonetheless.
In a perfect world i'd still love to grab Pablo Aimar from Benfica or a similar Trequartista type player to compete with Mauri. Hernanes is not that guy to play behind strikers like Cisse and Klose. Hernanes is more useful in a deeper role with Ledesma the Brocchinator and Matuzalem-The Coke Dealer.

Sculli is a decent player, he works well for the team, and contributes with assists, goals, and generally gives alot.
I think the main reason people dont like him is because he was the only purchase in January (and we only payed half his value in Jan) and we missed out on people like Ziegler, who were ready to sign but if stories are true, Lotito refused to pay the extra 500k needed.
So, for that reason, a midfielder, who isnt starting 11, being the only new player in that transfer window, was a bit of a let down for some.

We could try to offload Carizo, Foggia, Zauri, possibly Cavanda (even on loan) and Kozak on loan. If Zarate needs to, he will go. I`m backing that solution. We don`t need seven strikers, it is unnatural, and could prove bad for moral in team. So, Zarate is in that bunch. If we could bring Lugano, Willie could be surplus, not Diakite.  |
