I always wondered. I really rated him personally. He is better then Dabo for the DM position. You know how Lazio has a habit of treating players badly for no apparant reason? Along with Mutarelli, this is another case in point.

I thought Gaby was amazing. He was a work horse and great at winning balls. I won't forget that Mudy and Behrami were exceptional together at shutting down madrids chances in the 2-2 CL game two years ago.

Mutarelli wasn't a great player. Maybe a decent player off the bench but not a world class player. If we want to move ahead towards being contenders we won't do it with players like manfredini, mutarelli, sivliglia, delnero etc.

Mudingayi is really only a hard worker, his skill and touch is pretty bad.  On a team like ours where the midfield is already pretty lacking in creativty and skill, it kind of hurt to have him on the field sometimes.  I always did love the way he battled throughout the game though and was sad to see him go.

Every Lazio fans knows that, but problem depend on Lotito and Tare. Personally, sold Mudin and purchased Brocchi is absolutely stupid step.

I think we got payed 8M to give him so it's a very good transfer fee. I think it's good that we gave him in that prize.

^^ not to mention we got Brocchi, and let's be serious, in the same position and role, Cristian is loads better - no offense to the good mr mudy.

I'm getting pretty pissed at some 'Lazio fans' who think they remember something that is flat out wrong

Answer the poll. See if this forum is completely full of idiots or not. If the results at the end of the poll prove contradictory to my own, I shall clear my sig and have "I am an idiot" placed in it.

Hey, is this poll about Jofo's comment "Gaby was a fighter in the mid and after he steal a ball he would assist it to the opponent striker" in the other thread?

If so, the poll question should have been:

Was Mudingayi good in defense but made too many mistakes in offense?
Yes
No

Your poll question is "was he any good?", but things are not always so black or white, so it won't suffice to prove your point.

Did he won balls, YES.
Did he know how to transfer the game to attack, NO.

No need to open a thread and poll just to "conform" your opinion and prove some point. Thats childish.

^ not true.

The point is that you said he was rubbish because he wasen't very good at linking the attack. It's like criticizing Tomasso Rocchi for terrible defending. Mudingayi was and still is principly a BALL WINNER. All his job was was to get the ball back. We had Ledesma, Mauri and Liverani to do all the attacking probing. To criticize Mudingayi for being a bad passer is unfair.
Or maybe it isn't. Hence the poll.

Mudingayi > Baronio and Dabo.

He was a good player, good at his role and thats all you can ask from most. Its more than a lot of players deliver. Matuzalem for example, sorry but what does he bring to the side? Ah yeah, nothing.

So Mudingayi profile:

Defense midfielder, win balls but after that he can only hold it to himself. Well, until someone took it form him.
