DRAFT FORUM REGULATIONS

It is probably far overdue for this, but better late than never. In the interest of transparency and consensus, the administration would like to ask all members of the Lazio forever forum to carefully read the following draft of the forum regulations and provide any suggestions or feedback. Thank you for your cooperation.

Lazio Forever Forum Regulations

1.0 General

1.1 While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore by registering as a user you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
1.2 By registering as a user you agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit – without reason or justification.
1.3 Although every endeavour will be made to consult forum members, the forum management, administrators / moderators reserve the right to update or make amendments to this document without prior notification or consent of the users.

2.0 Posting
2.1 The primary objective of this forum is to be as open and candid as possible By registering to use the forum you agree not to pond to fully respect the fundamental right of expression and conscience of all members. However, any abusive, gratuitously obscene, racist, slanderous, hateful, threatening, explicitly sexually-oriented, pornographic or any other material that may violate any applicable laws will not be tolerated and will be the subject of applicable sanctions.
2.2 There is a strict prohibition against any form of solicitation, legal or illegal, on the forum without the expressed and previously attained consent of the forum administration.
2.3 Religious or political proselytization is strictly prohibited.

3.0 Sanctions

3.1 Sanctions will be set as follows:
I.   First offense – a written warning
II.   Second offense – a written warning and a one week suspension of privileges
III.   Third offense – a written warning and a one month suspension
IV.   Fourth warning – a written advisory and a lifetime ban from the forum
3.2 Sanctions can be appealed directly to the forum administration. Decisions resulting from an appeal will be final.
3.3 The forum administrators reserve the right to censor or delete any messages deemed to be in contravention of forum rules.

4.0 Hosting

4.1 While information (personal or otherwise) stored will never be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
4.2 As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database.

Till now I don't have a clue that we don't have any written rules. The draft version looks good as a solid base of rules and regulations.

Only one thing to ask, quote "II.   Second offense – a written warning and a one week suspension of privileges" what exactly are this privileges and the deference between suspension of privileges and suspension of forum.

Good point. We'll have to sharpen the language a bit. What we intended was that on the first three offenses a ban from the forum would be of the specified length, on the fourth infraction the offending member would be expelled from the forum for life.

well, I understand what your saying, I have only Lazio -I don't even watch other sports or have other teams. But it's like going to church, some people only go on Christmas and easter, you sort of have to accept that and hope they become more devout. I don't go to church because Lazio usually plays Sunday mornings in Canada!
