Dearest Laziale  Myself and Latius agree that it's time to change the players in the banner of the site. If you don't, then this thread isn't for you  Basically I'm sure we all have our ideas who should be on, so this is what this topic is about, if your interested in having your say. Latius asked me what players I wanted but I thought it best to consult the forum and see the general consensus. I have a suggestion that one of the three players could be a vintage one, and by that I mean somebody who has retired but was a Laziale legend, preferrably from our lifetimes, rather then going way back. I feel such a player's appearance on the banner would make our forum look more knowledgeable, even though we ain't so bad, I'm sure you understand what I am getting at. And perhaps make it look more serious, for part-timers or 5 minute fans to perform vattenation before they even register. Anyway, here's what I'd like, and we'll leave this run for a while, and change the players before the start of the new season. Signori - Muslera - Rocchi. |

though looking at the banner, I reckon you could get a couple more players in there as well to be honest what with there being a big chunk of free space to the right of it.
Floating another idea as well, perhaps some iconic images of moments when we have won trophies as well, Euro super cup, CWC, Coppa's etc.

Muslera and Rocchi definitely and Nedved given the stipulations. however Giuseppe Favalli he has been released from Milan now but is still not officialy retired? I Agree. with last seasons performance you really do have to look to the past to get three player worth putting on a banner would love to see Alessandro Nesta but I guess since he plays for Milan it would be in bad taste. Technically Favalli is a free agent, as he was released by Milan this summer so he may sign elsewhere.
A good choice though given that he is leads Lazio in total appearances.

Yes, there is plenty of free space on the right, it could be used for something, maybe a few banners sliding or different pictures which change when refreshing the site or lgging in. And about the players, here is my list: Di Canio, Signori and Rocchi. |

Signori for sure, Muslera or Rocchi for the present and then I'd throw one of Simeone or Veron. I'd also like to see a bit of a nod to the more distant past (i.e. Piola, Maestrelli, Lorini or even Chinaglia.) Also some anti-riom image that is Laziale in nature (i.e. Paoletto running under the Curva Sud the first time or the big "no all fusione" banner). Definitely the current one has had it.

Personally I LOVE the current one. I don't think there will be a better one than this one.
If we must..
1)100% Rocchi doing his goal celebration in the 2nd derby last season.
2)Alessandro Nesta (born Laziale-scudetto-captain, turned down Roma in youth) or Signori(Don't know much about him but people are big on him).
3)Muslera
4)Stendardo or Hernanes( will have to wait until first game though)
I like Stendardo a lot. Very Passionate(i.e celebrations, interviews), strong defender and overjoyed when scoring for Lazio. Or Hernanes who will turn necks this season.

Probably the best thread this summer. I agree with L365, the right side has too much space and we could put there something related to Lazio as club. Giorgio Vaccaro maybe or Luigi Bigiarelli.
As for players I think we should make a pattern. One player from the scudetto generation back in 74' like Giuseppe Wilson or Giorgio Chinaglia. Paolo di Canio is a must as well as Signori. I would add the last one from the golden years, like Nesta or Nedved.
You would probably ask why there is no one from Lotito's Lazio, well its been a while since I saw true Lazialita on field. Rocchi is one to consider but since he stood in defense of Lotito and Ballardini policy he is no longer a captain in my eyes.
My personal choice would be: Chinaglia - Signori - Di Canio - Nesta.

... I don't think there could be Nesta or Veron because they are both still playing; for clubs other then us I mean - do you understand why I think that would be weird? I mean either player doesn't have long left but... just weird.
Otherwise they've been good suggs, and in the future, for sure Nesta should definitely be up there.
So far it's clear that the forum would like Signori, Muslera, Rocchi. There's a lot of ones on two votes.
Still, tis only the first day of it, there's some regulars who haven't had their say yet. The thread can continue until there's a clear fourth winner.
