Apparently the going rate on vieri is around 300, 000 Euros. I think his experience might be good to the team and lotito is probably using his status to increase ticket sales. Part of me wants to see vieri play but the guy is 34 and he seems to get injured a lot. I hope hes not going to end up sharing the bench with inzaghi.

Looks like foggia is gone to cagliari .. no counting on him now ... with foggia and a possible sale of jiminez .. i hope that money is going to pay for another quality player .. what happened to buying Ederson ?
Im think that Massimo Zallocco was an error... looks like we'll have carizzo in days.

I believe the idea of Vieri coming back has already been shut down...almost right away actually. I think we could have gotten him for free, but Lotito didn't like the idea (it was all Vieri's idea to come back to Lazio) and personally, I agree....I don't think he would have been of any use. He's played 3? 4? games in the past 1-2 years.....or something like that. He's definitely done....unfortunately.
Jimenez said he wants inter...he might actually do the medical exams soon. Mancini always wanted him when he was coaching Lazio, I guess he still has a "thing" for him. As far as I'm concerned, he can go fuck himself if he's going to talk like that. We don't need him. Go ahead, go to inter....I wouldn't be surprised if we end up above them next year. But that's where all the money is. These guys are merceneries.
Forza Lazio.

Inter Sign Jimenez The Chilean player will join the Nerazzurri from Lazio on loan, with a buy-out option at the end of the season.
Inter have made an important signing as Massimo Moratti's club signed Lazio's Luis Antonio Jimenez on loan. The Nerazzurri will have the option to buy the midfielder in a year's time for a fee of eleven million Euros.
Jimenez had problems with Lazio and his departure was just a matter of days following a good season with the Biancocelesti, where he played 16 matches and scored 2 goals.
The Chilean player was very much wanted by Coach Roberto Mancini who had seen him as the ideal candidate for the midfield line to give some breathe to the first team players.
Jimenez had just joined Lazio in January and Coach Delio Rossi was counting on him for next season, but now it will be Inter who can field the technical midfielder.

I think most of you might disagree with me .. im sure the Serie B players we signed might be decent... But we had our hopes up with signings like Ederson, Mesto, Bianchi, Carizzo, Barzagli, Zaccardo ... etc... what happened ??????
Forget playing teams like AC, Inter and Juve who are teams with money ... but Palermo has Miccoli teamed with Amauri , Udinese has Qugliarella teamed up with Di Natali ... how are we going to compete with these teams next season ?
We went from looking at fantastic players to looking at old veterans and a possible Ex-Riomanista Goalie.
I think we should do a summer sale with some of the players like Tare, Belleri and Inzaghi + the money we made from selling some of our players to get 2 quality players, i know we cant get players like Ronaldinho but at least bring us some 1st division players.

^^^ I agree...even though the market is open until Aug 31st. I think they are focusing on signing a goalie right now. Once that is done I think they'll try to get a couple more players, at least.

http://www.iltempo.it/approfondimenti/index.aspx?id=1241812Carizzo should be ours in 15 days ... i cant wait 'til he holds up the shirt... i think we have enough players on the team .. we have plenty of midfield and defenders .. i think lotito needs to invest in a heavy duty ringer who can work with either rocchi or pandev. It would have been nice to have carizzo by now so at least he could have been training and playing in the friendlies to develop chemistry .. Im still waiting for this mystery player he said he was planning on bringing. ALL the players he bought so far can be mystery players since they havent played in 1st division football before and MOST people havent heard of them before. I dont mind getting players early in their career and helping develop them to grow into stars but theres only so many inexperienced players we should have. On a side note, it makes me laugh at the press around Milan buying eto and ronaldinho .. i think channel4 is rotating articles .. one week yes .. one week no..lol Regardless of what happens .... 00

From channel4.com - June 17, 2007
Lazio are on the verge of signing Argentine goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo, according to the latest reports in South America.
The Biancocelesti have eyed the River Plate No 1 as they look for a new custodian to replace Angelo Peruzzi, who retired from football at the end of last season.
Newspaper Ole claims that Lazio officials travelled to Argentina to discuss the player?s position, finalising a ?5.5m deal with the Primera Divisione outfit.
Carrizo, who made his international debut in April at the age of just 22, is set to sign a five-year deal worth ?360,000 per season and an official announcement is expected soon.
The transfer seemed close to collapsing over the last few days but President Claudio Lotito [pictured] was determined to land the ?keeper, who would become the controversial chief?s most expensive signing.
Carrizo could join his new teammates at their pre-season camp in Kapfenberg later this week and Coach Delio Rossi hopes to hand the South American his debut in the friendly against West Ham on July 21.
I dont think anythings been signed yet .. but its pretty much official from what i've been reading .. I still need to see him hold up the shirt.
