honestly.. i NEVER trust the italian press.. It's true that Eliseu is still signed? because that link i provided was Eliseu talking apparently.. also on goal.com

here's a newsflash .. goal.com has as much BS as the italian media. I hope we signed him. His youtube video looked pretty impressive. Thats really all i can do to judge most of the players we sign .. judge them from their youtube videos.

apparently the rumour is Inter wants kolarov now and offered 10 million. I don't want to see our young talent go. I think kolarov is another big sale this team will eventually make who correct me i'm wrong was signed at something like 300 K per season. He was already linked with juve last month.

I can only let uselless players go. Kolarov, De Silvestri, they will stay with us. Ignore Inter's offer, Kolarov is good for us.

Lazio are considering a move for Hertha Berlin midfielder Gojko Kacar.

The Serbia international, 22, has been recommended to Lazio president Claudio Lotito and fits the ideal transfer model for the Rome club.

Goal.com says Eliseu has signed for lazio a five years contract form 750.000 per mounth..! I am really glad we took him ! It also says that Lotito is interested taking on loan Banega from Valencia who are willing to sell him...banega will be a very good replacement for ledesma! Also i read that lazio and liverpool are trying to capture Fernandez from Dynamo and his price is 9.9m ! He already has an italian passport so i think it will be very easy to join lazio than liverpool  where he must take work permition..thats all i know for today

Lotito wants Ever Banega from Valencia on loan!

This would be perfect for us, he played with Zarate in the U21 Team of Argentina!

Report: Malaga Winger Eliseu Signs For Lazio
The Portuguese has penned a five-year deal with the Biancocelesti and will be in Rome tomorrow to undergo a medical.
Lazio have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Eliseu from Spanish club Malaga, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Aquile have beaten off competition from Sevilla for the services of the 25-year-old, who signed a five-year contract worth €750,000-per-season last night.

Eliseu had refused to extend his contract with Malaga beyond 2010 and the Primera Division club have allegedly accepted a bid of just €1 million from the Eternal City outfit.

The winger, who made his Portugal national team debut this month, is expected to fly to Rome tomorrow to undergo a medical before being unveiled to the press.

Meanwhile, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is continuing his Spanish shopping spree and has set his sights on Valencia playmaker Ever Banega to replace the departing Cristian Ledesma.

Banega, who will turn 21 next Monday, spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid, who have not taken up their option to make the move permanent this summer.

Valencia are reportedly willing to sell the former Boca Juniors man and Lotito is hoping to get the player on loan with the right to sign him permanently next year.

Banega would reunite with compatriot Mauro Zarate in the Italian capital - the duo won the Under-20 World Cup with Argentina in 2007.

Liverpool & Lazio Eyeing Dynamo Moscow's Leandro Fernandez - Report
The Argentine defender could be available for around €9.9 million this summer...
According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Premier League giants Liverpool and Serie A outfit Lazio are ready to battle it out for Dynamo Moscow's Leandro Fernandez.

Apparently, sources in Russia claim that the Reds and the Biancocelesti have already held talks with the Menty with regard to the availability of the 26-year-old during the close-season.

It is thought that the 5ft 10in centre-back may be allowed to leave the Dynamo Stadium provided a fee of at least €9.9 million (£8.5m) is offered.

It is said that the former Newell's Old Boys and River Plate star would have no problems gaining a work permit because he already holds an Italian passport.

Fernandez, who is reportedly on the fringes of earning a call-up to the Argentina squad, was awarded Dynamo Moscow's Player of the Year award during his first season with the club in 2006.

Think this could be a really good signing. Someone mentioned on the site the other day that few Italians were in the squad, or the starting 11 at least. This may become of importance in the future if the 6+5 rule is introduced, and in that respect some quality Italian signings for me would be more than welcome this summer. In terms of the starting eleven, perhaps only Foggia, De Silvestri, Rocchi, Tuia and for the moment Brocchi can consider themselves close to the eleven. In this respect at least, its a shame we would appear to be missing out on Acquafresca. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Acqua chooses Atalanta
Wednesday 24 June, 2009
Inter striker Robert Acquafresca will join Atalanta on loan next season, according to the Italian Press.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two years with Cagliari, scoring 25 goals in 68 appearances.

He returned to Inter this summer, but doesn't feature in Jose Mourinho's plans for next season.

Several clubs have tried to sign him, including Juventus, Genoa, Parma and Fulham.

However, Acquafresca is said to like the project outlined by new Atalanta Coach Angelo Gregucci, which will focus on young players.

Acquafresca is currently at the European Under-21 Championship in Sweden where he has made quite an impression.

He has scored three goals in three games and consequently helped book Italy's place in the semi-finals.

I want Italians, would love to see at least 5 Italians in the first team per game. An Italian center back (Canini, Zaccardo) and an Italian center midfielder.
