Rumour has it that it might be Huntelaar ... if it is .. that would be amazing! But i'd also imagine he would be expensive so that might just keep it a rumour.

Thank god the viola were willing to pick up Vieri .. I wouldnt have been happy as that being our mystery player.

Its official...

Lotito hails Carrizo signing
Friday 20 July, 2007
Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has declared that he considers the signing of goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo crucial.

The Argentine completed his move on Thursday and will replace veteran custodian Angelo Peruzzi, who quit football at the end of the last season.

?The goalkeeper was crucial for our strategies. Now however we will have to consider selling some players if we want to continue buying,? said the President.

?After Peruzzi?s retirement we needed a new man between the posts who had to be reliable and also give guarantees for the future.?

The 22-year-old Carrizo, who reportedly cost Lazio ?5m, was a reported target for Manchester United and Manchester City as well, but was pleased to join the Serie A outfit.

?I wanted Lazio and Lazio wanted me and they showed it by carrying out a lengthy and difficult negotiation,? said the youngster. ?Now I hope to repay the confidence they showed in me.?

I think the surprise player could be one of inters strikers .. if you think about it Lotito gave Jimi to them who was a position that was needed on the team .. and Rossi was confident we are going to get this player .. i'll take crespo please!

I think it's Nuno Gomes....

What a shitty mystery player... he's a has been .. and he was shit when he played for the viola...

Lotito says the best is yet to come .. if thats it ... the media is going to laugh at us.

Bring us Ederson or Chevanton and that would be great!

I don't know if it's him....I just hadn't heard anything about him, then I read someone in Portugal is saying he's close, so I thought......
I don't think so though....unless they want him to replace Inzaghi or Tare.

Apparently there is speculation around Giuseppe Rossi:

http://www.iltempo.it/approfondimenti/index.aspx?id=1245769
http://www.tgcom.mediaset.it/controcampo/articoli/articolo372021.shtml

I like the idea. But he plays similar to pandev. He scored 9 goals in 19 games . .not bad. U-21 player, played for Man U .. he must be worth something... but we probably couldnt afford .. unless he's on loan with an option to buy.

There is also rumours of Cassano as an option for Lazio. .. i really hope not .. we dont need this kind of problem on our team. Supposedly Real Madrid didnt include him in the current squad and he's trying to return to serie a. Although it would be kinda funny if he scored on Roma in a derby... but no thanks!

Bojinov .. is the other striker who's still under speculation .. its been talked about for a while now .. Delio really believes in him and maybe he can bring him back to form.

Although, I dont know how we can aquire a player like Rossi when parma wanted him for 7.5 and Manu wanted 10. .. i dont think we could afford a striker for 3 Million.

There's no way cassano is coming to Lazio. I don't think it will ever happen. Plus, he is just a problem.
I personally still believe Bojinov would be good....

I hear Inzaghi is practically gone and that the return may be Rossi, or Bojinov or Pelle...boh. Many are unhappy about Inzaghi leaving (being the last from the scudetto years) but honestly, what is he doing for us???? I don't care for Rossi, but wouldn't mind Bojinov......what about Chevanton???? He has fallen off the radar.

I think at this point it should be easy to give up the past when it costs $950,000 a year to warm up the bench.

I think we shouldnt have let the mesto option go to strengthen our defense. Napoli snagged some great players.. Gargano (who we had interest in) and Lavezzi who's impressive.

Bojinov is young and didnt get much playing time in SERIE B... i wouldnt want him .. we need someone in game shape who has experience .. CL is in a month.

Rossi would've been nice as he's young, plays with under-21 italian team and played a full season with Parma and Man U.. but i think hes too expensive .. Lazio doesnt have 10 Million and last I heard Man U isnt going to sell him anymore definately... so hes out of our options now.

Chevanton seems to be a great option right now .. but I havent heard a single thing leading to him .. i doubt it will happen either.

Not sure what happened with Ederson .. i think thats just not happening... as we I think we need to spend our money on a CB and a striker.

Delio is content with the squad .. we have 28 players so far... so i think he'll squeeze another 2 .. as for who ? who knows ?

I don't think we are going to get any new players until we get rid of some. There's no way we could keep 30 players. That's too much.

Unless we can unload inzaghi which doesnt seem to be happening anymore ... and get rid of Tare too.A striker is a must .. i think at least that will happen with all the speculation around all the possible moves to lazio.  Supposedly the Bojinov move isnt happening anymore as he is too expensive for us according to piazzadellaliberta.it

It looks like Chevanton is still a possibility for us:

http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=363988

I think we should've jumped on Miccoli .. that guy is really impressing.... he was sold to Palermo for 3 Million.
