To be honest, im actually surprised Lotito actually got players in this mercato. It had to come on the last day and the quality of the defenders showed. I was actually convinced he was jerking us all off with these rumors and in the end getting nothing as all his rumors fell through(i.e Offseason Mercato)
To note, Lotito wanted his long time admirer Ederson and the price was 10 million. Does this price also look familiar? Oh yeah, thats how much he wanted for Ledesma. So basically Lotito didn't want to spend a cent on Ederson. Not even if it meant the best for Lazio. He passed on the oppertunity to sign Ederson because he couldn't squeeze any more millions off Moratti. Lotito was not willing to pitch in the extra 1.5 million from the potential sale of Ledesma to sign Ederson. Mamma Mia Che Stronzo

I know the pattern of hatred and bitterness has been driven deep into all the lazio faithful, but I have to say I am pretty satisfied with this winter transfer 1striker 2/3 mids, and 2 CD. one striker and one mid that would seem to be great deals. può il Lazio rimanere volo alto nel Serie A  |

Golasa might have breached his contract with Maccabi Haifa when he signed with Lazio. They have issued an appeal to Fifa to get his contract with Lazio annulled.

here are the facts about Ledesma's saga revealed by Italian media! with this stunt Lotito showed that he is a MFmoron who puts his pride over the good of our(not his) club... Inter, until Sunday, had confirmed an offer of 8.5 million for the Argentine midfielder. But the President insisted to the end and asked Moratti for 10. Just yesterday, during lunchtime, he decided to allow the discount, but because of pride he didn't call Inter to the despair of Ledesma and his agent, Vincenzo D'Ippolo. The Mercato is a success, come on what did you expect? I expected better players. You know, how the likes of Palermo and Napoli seem to pick up world class players for cheap. We pick up shit people for cheap, and pay too much for only 'good' players i.e Floccari. I'll reserve judgement on him, although he has had a good start, a good start means bugger all. Then we get three youngsters who apparently are really talented Apparantly I am crap in bed but it doesn't mean it's true. Biava has been playing regularly in Serie A for many seasons now and it could mean the end of Siviglia, fantastic. Yeah, and we'll replace Siviglia with someone only 4 years younger who is beginning his own decline and has the same pace as Siv. Like most of you I am not happy with Andre Dias but Thiago Silva also came straight from Brazil so I'm gonna give him a chance and see how he turns out. Yeah why not. I mean Baronio came straight from Italy like Marco Tardelli. The Ledesma issue, he will be sold in the summer. Article 17 prevents him from joining Inter or Juve or any Italian club so he will beg to be sold in July. Or he could just leave for nothing. We also kept Kolarov. Until the Summer at least. |

Lazio hasn't made any crazy moves and other teams who are far better have improved themselves as well during the mercato. I still feel this will be an uphill battle right to the very end for survival.
Had lomerda gone for more quality/experienced players i'd be a little more optimistic but generally these players like most of our acquisitions are a gamble.
Ederson was our lifeline, a chance to bring a strong proven player .. but unfortunately our merde president will never get it.

I don't get why Lotimerda always make everything become difficult and complex. Ederson repeated many times that he want only us, just get rid Ledesma even for 8m and we can get him. But Lotito didn't  . Im not deny Lotito and Tare's work in this mercato. But wasting around 20 mil for Pandev and Ledesma cases are absolutely unacceptable.I dont know if shareholders can kick Lotito out or not but i think it was a very good evidences to sue Lotito. Seriously, LOTITO GO AWAY!!!  |

Ederson wanted Lazio move
Tuesday 2 February, 2010
Lyon's attacking midfielder Ederson says he has missed 'a great opportunity' in not being allowed to join Lazio.
The 24-year-old Brazilian has made just four starting appearances for Lyon this season, but his abilities as a playmaker made him Lazio's No 1 transfer target in January.
Unfortunately both parties could not agree terms and the deal collapsed, leaving Ederson bitter.
Speaking to L'Equipe, he said: “It's really a shame that Lazio and Lyon didn't manage to find an agreement on my move to Rome.
“For me it would have been a great opportunity, even if right now they are not going through a good moment.
“Even so, they are a team of great potential and added to this we need to remember that Davide Ballardini, the Lazio Coach, has always wanted me, considering that he knows my qualities very well.
“I know that he would have given me confidence and this is fundamental in football,” Ederson concluded.
Don't worry guys we'll eventually get this guy. Lotito will pick him up in 5 years when his career and skills have gone down the tube and we'll get him for a small fraction of what they asked for.

I have hopes that ederson will come in the summer. He says he still wants to come and will be waiting until the summer to transfer. Maybe lotito is so smart that he believes ledesma will play hard for lazio again so that inter will want him even more and pay a greater amount. And then we can buy ederson for maybe a cheaper price. Or lotito is still a dumbass.

POssibly the second option, Lotito wants Eguren for the summer, i see no reason why, he should waste his efforts on Ederson, but no, he wants the mediocre 30 year old player who didnt even pass the medicals in Italy
