Not sure what the connection is. Fiorentina DOES have an eye for quality and if they are looking for quality striker.. they aint going to be looking at Lazio's strikers. And Floccari doesn't count cuz he's on loan.

But they were rather interested in Rocchi, and he did say he would evaluate his options in June. Moreover, it's just an observastion that may help to establish the atmosphere of the Summer market. boh?

I know that you was targeting at Rocchi but c'mon get real. With every game he seems to be more and more lost.

Btw I'm very thrilled about this mercato. And I'm not speaking here about the players. I do believe that Lotito went to far this time and he can't get away anymore.

What frightens me the most is, that we still haven't renewed Muslera, Radu and Ledesmas contract.
Muslera and Radu are one of our most important players and if we want to get any money from Ledesma we have to extend his contract.

We should have a roster with 25 players instead of 36. Then we could spend more money on better contracts for those players.

Radu's contract extension is only a matter of time, I think. Muslera's too, or so it seemed, until he expressedly spkoke about his interest in FPL. I am slightly worried regarding that. Ledesma gave his word of honour not to take advantage of the article X so I am more concerned about him wanting that contract extension instead of leaving. Nonetheless, I would keep the former two almost at any cost.

I'm already reading about how other teams are already gearing up for mercato which is far away. I hope we can learn from their approach and start looking now so we don't end up with last minute misfits like we've done over the last couple years. One would think lotito learned his lesson .. but we'll have to see. I think ledesma will part with Lazio come summer .. don't really care either as i was never a big fan of his. I think I can name about 15 players we can get rid of and barely serve any purpose and finally use them as leverage like we should have over the past 2 years.

Fiorentina is interested in Floccari. Mutu's suspension is officially relevant to us.

...oh and Malaga is interested in reaquiring Eliseu.

No doubts in my mind we won't ever see Eliseu again - not that we saw him that much when he was at our place. If he was shit after being given a run of games (like Foggia) then fair enough - but he wasen't, so it's most unsatisfactory.

I believe that Zaragoza have first dibs and can take up the option of getting him permanently if they want to. But a return to Malaga would probably be quite likely to happen if that doesn't.

If Fiorentina is interested in Floccari and we have the choice to buy him out. I wonder if we can still cash in on him. Buy him and sell him in the same mercato. But I would like to know who we're looking at if we get rid of him. Clearly Rocchi, Zarate and Foggia aren't dependable strikers judging by their score sheets this season, and the rest of the strikers aren't even worth mentioning. I think we need a complete revamp up front. Rocchi is getting old so we should cash in on him now while we can get money for him. Zarate, well if we can get the money rumoured by the big clubs .. i would say sell him. Foggia hasn't done much either but I think he should be used more as a winger than a striker.

The ball is in our court with Floccari. Fiorentina can't sign him unless we choose not to pay the €11million.

^^^ Welllllll not quite. If the player refuses to sign a contract with us, then it's a moot point. So if Floccari wants to go to Fiorentina, he essentially can.

Well then we don't have much of a chance then, I can't see how we can compete with Fiorentina in terms of money and prosperity.  If we are to motivate players to resign we need at least 1 of these.  The departure of players like Kolarov are like a signal to abandon ship, he is not even a great player, still a rookie has faults and he won't even stay here.  11mill for a good quality player should not be a huge decision for this club if we want to go forward, enough nickel and diming everything.

With both the Hitzsberger/Eliseu situations its perplexing why we would spend money that is obviously not readily available and not even put it to any use.  We seem to pick up bargains and then AFTER figure out if they fit the team when ink on the contract dry

I read all the posts above..I have the same opinion that Muslera,Radu and Ledesma must stay in our team and that we must buy Floccari at any costs....As about Eliseu I can not express an opinion for a player that I haven't seen playing at Lazio...
For the roster now....Cleaning it is vital...We have many shit player to sell..Hope that there will be some stupid teams to give us some cash for Makinwa etc...A strong roster of 24-26 players is the best...With quality players..Not shit-head
