What bothers me most is the overall approach on the mercato. We are facing relegation battle and just look how serious is our management. Rush decisions that literally occurred 5 hours before mercato close up. Pretty good approach if you ask me. IMO, very big mistake that we didn't offload our bench. Mainly because of economic value but also (and more important) to free our NON-EU spots. Dias took Pandev place, so unless we don't sell Makinwa, Ederson deal was nothing more then a fairytale.

Now its not like everything is that bad, at least we got the most fragile positions covered(except the coach ).

Getting replacements and covered are two different things.  An israeli league mid-fielder can;t add much more difference than Matuzelum.  Daiz another Cribari 0=0

Biava maybe a slight improvement on Siviglia but hardly going to be the rock of our defensive line.  Plus we lost Rozenhal before who lets not forget was a Czech International.

What this market showed as Aquile89 pointed out is that Lotito is not willing to spend out of pocket even 15% more on an asking price i.e ederson who could have made a much bigger impact along with Hitzslberger than all the rest of our signings.  Its QUALITY vs Quantity

The Mercato is a success, come on what did you expect?

I expected better players. You know, how the likes of Palermo and Napoli seem to pick up world class players for cheap. We pick up shit people for cheap, and pay too much for only 'good' players i.e Floccari. I'll reserve judgement on him, although he has had a good start, a good start means bugger all.

Then we get three youngsters who apparently are really talented
Apparantly I am crap in bed but it doesn't mean it's true.

Quote
Biava has been playing regularly in Serie A for many seasons now and it could mean the end of Siviglia, fantastic.
Yeah, and we'll replace Siviglia with someone only 4 years younger who is beginning his own decline and has the same pace as Siv.

Quote
Like most of you I am not happy with Andre Dias but Thiago Silva also came straight from Brazil so I'm gonna give him a chance and see how he turns out.

Yeah why not. I mean Baronio came straight from Italy like Marco Tardelli.

The Ledesma issue, he will be sold in the summer. Article 17 prevents him from joining Inter or Juve or any Italian club so he will beg to be sold in July.
Or he could just leave for nothing.

Quote
We also kept Kolarov.

Until the Summer at least.

1. Better players? Hitz, Floccari and Biava are significant improvement of what we have.
2. If we had gotten Simon Kjær when he was in Midjylland you would have wined. Give them a chance and they could come good. Get them while they're young and cheap, since we can't produce anything from the Primavera I personally love getting good prospects from around the world.
3. Biava is an improvement. The main problem was (is) the midfield. Biava is a solid player and was playing regularly for Genoa (29 times in the league last season).
4. British humor heh? Defenders coming from Brazil aren't always crap (Look at Thiago Silva), give him a chance and he could come good.
5. Ledesma will not use the 17 article. He would have to play outside of Italy and clubs aren't happy with the ruling and could refuse to sign him. He will use it if Lotito declines to sell him, but that won't happen. He already lost in court so I don't expect him to have a successful appeal.

Look on the bright side man

The funny thing is everyone would be jumping for joy if we would have signed ederson.  I believe lotito really wanted him he just couldnt get rid of that piece of shit makinwa.  We will get ederson in the summer. Hes still got a hard on for us.

I didn't know there was a mercato for presidents as well

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is considering a move to Juventus, according to Il Riformista.

Galliani's relationship with Silvio Berlusconi, the Rossoneri's owner, is said to have reached an all-time low.

Berlusconi gave Galliani a public dressing down earlier this month for his decision to sign Amantino Mancini from Inter.

He considered the transfer to be 'useless' given Milan's need for a striker and a set of full-backs.

Galliani is also apparently upset with Berlusconi's reaction to Tuesday's defeat at home to Manchester United.

RIGHT... let's make a deal. We should do a p(president) e/x.... Enrique Preziosi for Lotito.. with a fee rising to Tare based on how many fuckups the pair of them can do to Genoa. Boh?

2010
Baronio
Siviglia
Cruz

2011
Inzaghi
Manfredini
Ledesma
Makinwa
Mauri
Cribari
Meghni
Del Nero

2012
Zarate
Stendardo
Bizzarri
Radu
Kolarov
Muslera

-------

Does it mean that Cruz maybe stays until 2011?
