LLSN report saying Hernanes is 99%Lazio and minor gaps have to be filled. . I didn't believe. Says 14 million for the player 10 now and 4 by the end of 2010. Still, I won;t believe it until it comes out of one of the president's mouth. If this happens, this will be Lazio's big break in signing a big player for a reasonable amount. Excited to hear further news.

Same Aquile89

What I'm not happy with is the fact that there have been several 99.9%ers already, (Berrara, Martinez) and all of them failed at the last.

We could be signing a player to take us to outright European Qualification... or we could be about to have one of Lazio's biggest flops, i.e yet another Matuzalem.

Pretty exciting

Sao Paulo Have Accepted Lazio's €14m Bid For Hernanes; Contract Talks Underway - Agent
The Aquile still need to tie up final details on the player’s contract…
By Stefano Federici

Claudio Lotito recently announced Lazio are still shopping for players and the patron could be ready to back up his words with action as the Biancocelesti close in on long-term target Hernanes.

According to reports from Lalaziosiamonoi, the vice-president of Traffic group Federico Penha recently revealed the developments of negotiations.

“The meeting held yesterday between the president Juvenal and director [Igli] Tare went well,” Hernanes' agent announced.

“Sao Paulo have accepted the offer of €14m and the Traffic group, who also holds a percentage of his contract, have given their green light.

“Currently the final details regarding the player’s wages are being discussed, but there is minimal distance between the two parties.”

With the recent developments proving fruitful, it looks like coach Edy Reja will finally get his hands on a quality midfielder capable of linking the defensive and attacking lines.

Gianni Calcio, I see you are oblivious to the tradition on the forum to quote your goal.com post while replying to it.

In any case, as I surmised earlier the Hernanes situation was totally different to what it had been for the past few weeks. We actually made a serious move instead of beating around the bush. I really do not know what it should take at this point for the deal to fall through.

As expected a pessimistic article comes out on TMW.

Sao Paolo has not agreed to no offer and is only focused on the games they have to play. Sporting Director of Sao Paolo say The 'traffic' (owns17% of Hernanes) does not have the final word on the sale and nothing has been agreed.

On the other hand the technical director of Sao Paulo seems well pleased with the negotiations and optimistic about the sale of Hernanes. And he speaks of Lazio not some Spanish club. Go figure.

Translated article from tuttomercato web, make of it what you will.

The white smoke in the night: Hernanes is Lazio, today is the day of formalization

Lacks the formality, but Hernanes is in effect a player of Lazio. The last piece of the puzzle was put in the Italian night, when the "Beautiful Country" still reverberating echo the words of Frederick Penha, Vice President of Traffic, which owns 17% of the Brazilian label: "The St. Paul accepted the proposal, 99% Hernanes is a player of Lazio. " A little more detail, satisfied at the end of league game played and won by St. Paul on Ceara (2-1, networks Fernandao and Oliveira). The Estadio de Morunmbi was the final stage of white smoke: the protagonists Diesse Igli Tare and President Mr. Juvencio Juvenal, who, after reaching agreement on the overall figure (13.5 million), also found ' agreement on payment arrangements. In cases of Brazilian clubs will 10 million euros in cash (payable over two weeks), a figure that will cover 75% in the same club Paulista. The guarantees have arrived directly from Rome, where the president Claudio Lotito has followed with trepidation the situation. The remaining 3.5 million euros, payable by December 2010, will meet the percentage of traffic and other individuals involved, including the manager Joseph Lee who manages 2% of the player. Loosed the knot engagement: Hernanes receive 1.5 million in its first year, then rise gradually to 1.8 million in the remaining four years of the contract. Today is the day of formalization, after which home will Biancocelesti "futbol bailado.

I read that too. What bothers me is that it is coming from the mouth of a representative of Traffic rather than Sao Paulo official. Still, what with all the figures and details, it seems pretty certain. Boh?

I detest this bullshit politics behind the deal. Traffic? Wasen't that a fucking crap film starring Michael Douglas.

I want to traditional deals. Give the club the money and be fucking done with it. Dealing with all this murky crap makes me a little uneasy.

But still a tad excited.

I agree, I do not see much point in Traffic giving statements to the media when they apparently do not have a say whether Hernanes be sold or not. They should stay, or scheme, behind the curtains and let Sao Paulo officials do the bloody talking.

As a side, I like the part where it says Lotito is following the situation in Rome with trepidation. Where on earth do they get these things from... But that is pretty much how I have felt for the past few days.

hope this isnt another media bullshit, and we do get hernanes just hope he can be the player that all the hype is all about.

if he joins he could be here by mid august so he can finish the copa liberadores

Hernanes could delay Lazio move Sunday 1 August, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hernanes is “99 per cent a Lazio player,” but could remain with Sao Paolo until the middle of August.

Sources in Brazil and Italy all suggest that the deal is done worth €13.5m, so only negotiations over personal terms remain.

The Biancocelesti succeeded in pushing through a staggered payment, as €10m will be handed over immediately and the remaining €3.5m in December.

In exchange, Sao Paolo will get to keep hold of Hernanes until their Copa Libertadores experience is concluded.

This could be as late as the middle of August, so the midfielder would only begin training with his new teammates around a week before the start of the Serie A season.

Hernanes is set to sign a five-year contract with Lazio.

“Sao Paolo have accepted the offer put forth by Lazio and we at Traffic have also given our all-clear to the transfer,” said Vice-President Federico Penha, who owns 17 per cent of his contract.

“Right now the personal terms are being discussed and those represent the final obstacle to be overcome.

“We can say Hernanes is 99 per cent a Lazio player.”
