I dont understand how people can be mad at Tare/Lotito over the Honda deal.
So, we didnt pay over the odds for an injured player. Good!
It's not a matter of Honda or Nilmar or Palombo. I don't get caught up on names - espescially because the media just tosses names out anyway so we have no clue which one's we actually contacted. There are a million reasons beyond management's control that may cause player negotiations. Frankly, I don't trust the managers of CSKA any further than I could throw them. I wouldn't doubt that they were playing games more than Lotito does. So it's not a matter of who we aquired, or failed to. The point is that we have comments from the two stooges like "We are on the market 365 days a year" and "We are going to reinforce the squad" and the now infamous "We are ready to splash out 15 million on a Mr X". And every bloody transfer window, with the exception of ONE it's the same thing. We get to the last twenty minutes and Lotito and Tare are scrambling to finish deals. We've had broken fax mchines, we've had lost contracts - yesterday the Candreva deal came within mere seconds of being too late. We deserve a little more respect than being strung along like fools every 6 months. Is this the way football professionals do business? Late deals happen, I understand, but these guys are a couple of amateurs, dilletantes. I'm not even saying they have no talents in picking up players (Lulic, Lichsteiner, Muslera, Hernanes prove they have some). But a top flight Serie A outfit cannot be run like mom and pop fish and chips shop where dad sends his son out with 50 bucks to pick up some flour because they've run out. I posted long ago that I will be eternally indebted and thankful for Lotito for saving the team we love, but he needs to hire a serious and professional DS and stay the fuck out of the way. At this point, it's better he left because he's incapable of taking this team beyond the threshold of 5-6. A very well written and sensible response, thank you! I agree with all youve said, and I understand the frustrations (I too feel the same when promised reinforcements dont come)

Hahahahahahahaha this post made me laugh...broken fax machines, mom and pop fish and chips...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahhahahahhah...i never liked fucking tare, he just doesnt look like a serious person, more like a redneck with blond hair...he wasnt a big player and i bet you that he doesnt know shit compared to some other DS, and we need a serious one, not this fucking idiot...the rest of the season will be very tough, FORZA LAZIO!

Anyway, as I read around, the positive in all of this is that both Honda and Nilmar seem to have had no hesitation in wanting to come to Lazio. There was a time there when it was very different.

I was never excited about Cana coming. I knew he would suck. Cisse I was excited about but yes he flopped. The point is Tare and Lotito just spit lies and never deliver, they're all talk. Mr. X for 15 million?? You gotta be kidding me. I think he meant to say Mr. X for a 2 million dollar loan and an end of year payment of 10 mil and weekly installments of 5000 euros. Vattene please. This summer mercato better be huge but I highly highly doubt it.

Keisuke Honda's move to Lazio broke down due to the Italian club's failure to make a credible offer for the Japanese star, according to CSKA Moscow director general Roman Babaev. Don't Miss
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a deadline day move to Rome, to the extent that Edy Reja's men had reportedly set aside a shirt number in preparation for the winger's arrival.
However, the transfer collapsed, and the Russian outfit have pointed the finger at Lazio for their failure to seal Honda's signature.
"Lazio did not have a suitable approach in terms of money and in the way they approached us," Babaev said according to Corriere Dello Sport.
"They failed to negotiate seriously in terms of the player's value. They were disrespectful to him and us."
The CSKA executive went on to concede that the Asian superstar had hoped for a move to the Serie A side, but backed the player to continue his career in the Russian capital in a professional manner.
"Honda had hoped to leave, this was very bad, but he is a true professional. He just needs to forget these negotiations."
Meanwhile, Lazio official Igli Tare has in turned blamed the Russians for the move not happening.
"Increasing the fee was like a game to CSKA Moscow, we increased the offer three times. The Russians didn't change their position.
"Lazio made a good offer for Honda; it was the biggest deal in the January market in Europe," the Stadio Olimpico man admitted.

fuck them all.

Roughly translates to, "we wanted too much money for an injured player"
Im not sure how good he is, ive only seen him play briefly for Japan, but IMO, the russians valued him too highly, and as ive said before, personally I think it was too big of a risk to spend that much on him unless he is 100% fit.
I can still see him joining in the summer.

Well, fuck that. They were fucking rate a injured player too highly. Why didn't Man U, Liverpool move for him previously? We were only side that approach Honda seriously because 14M is really a big amount for a team like us

Agent: Lazio offered more than €10 million for Nilmar
Nilmar's Italian agent has claimed that Villarreal accepted an offer of more than €10 million for the striker from Lazio, but there was not enough time to complete a deal. Don't Miss
The Italian club were interested in securing a late move for the Brazilian on transfer deadline day after they had failed in their attempts to sign CSKA Moscow's Keisuke Honda.
Gabriele Giuffrida, who is the player's Fifa agent in Italy, explained why the deal did not go through for the forward.
"The time to do the transfer was very limited. Although the two are completely different players, Nilmar was wanted [by Lazio] after the non-arrival of Honda," explained the agent to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"Lazio began to deal with the player and Villarreal last Monday evening, less than a day before the window closed. Despite the restricted time, the two parties were very close to reaching an agreement. [Lazio president] Claudio Lotito made an offer of more than €10 million. Unfortunately for Lazio and their supporters, nothing came of it."
Despite a fee being agreed, Giuffrida claims the deal broke down because Villarreal were looking for the transfer figure to be paid up front.
"Everything was blocked once Villarreal requested the entire payment and this was not possible. Also, another aspect of the story is that there would have needed to be another non-EU place which was not the case at Lazio," he added.

Agents like to brag about how much their players are worth... so story may not be true.

its not about whether russians are sneaky and clever motherfuckers, which they are even though i like them, its about the inability of those idiots tare and lottito who couldnt see it in time that the russians will not let him go for their price...and then they make plans in last 2 days of transfer market, both of them are morons
