Lazio have signed Simone Del Nero from Brescia and Amelia is almost ours as both clubs seem to have agreed on the transfer. Carraciolo can still happen as well as 1 of 3 of Palermos defenders.

I am trying to stay calm. I know how Lotito is he will not buy big names. Instead he looks for young players on the cusp of stardom and buys them. However, we need some action here - CL is only 6 weeks away and it would be nice if the team had time to mesh. With Jimenez going I hope we pick up Ederson.

I am not sure about Amelia and am frankly glad we didn't take Carraciolo  (apparently he is going to Samp). I'm getting nervous.

Lazio are moving to beat AC Milan for Empoli defender Andrea Raggi.

Milan have offered cash-plus-players for Raggi, however Lazio made contact with Empoli over the weekend to discuss the Italy U21 international's situation.

Carraciolo didnt impress me too much this year .. im also glad we didnt sign him .. I dont mind testing out young players but as long as its not for a goal keeper.. we need someone whos been tried and tested. Im still not sure about Jiminez leaving ... nothings been confirmed yet from what i've heard.

Ajax's Maduro offered to Lazio
tribalfooball.com - June 25, 2007

Lazio have been offered Ajax midfielder Hedwiges Maduro.

The 22 year-old has just over a year left on his existing Ajax contract and Corriere dello Sport says representatives have invited Lazio to move for the midfielder.

Lazio posted a scout on Saturday to watch Maduro lead Holland to victory over Serbia in the final of the U21 European Championships and will wait for the outcome of talks between the player and Ajax, where it's expected the Dutch club will table a new contract offer.

Lazio To Net Chevanton?

Uruguayan forward Ernesto Javier Chevanton looks keen on a Serie A return?

Two months ago, Sevilla?s Ernesto Javier Chevanton had declared that it would have been an honour for him to return to the Serie A.

He also specifically pointed out that he would be keen to join Lazio, as he would then reunite with Delio Rossi, the coach who launched the Uruguayan forward during his days at Lecce.

In the last few days, the Lazio management have begun transfer negotiations with Sevilla regarding Chevanton, and despite the player?s will to move to the Biancocelesti, a problem has surfaced during the negotiations.

Chevanton?s wage at Sivilla is around 2 million euros, a figure that Lazio cannot afford to meet.

Lazio are awaiting further information from Sevilla, and will speak to Chevanton's agent again, as the Rome-based club are hoping to reach an agreement so that the move can be completed.

Lazio are reportedly preparing a bid for Nice?s Brazilian midfield prodigy Ederson as they look to strengthen for next term?s Champions League.

The 21-year-old has impressed in Ligue 1 with his habit of hitting stunning free-kicks, earning him comparisons with Lyon?s Juninho Pernambucano.

Juventus had been linked with a move during last winter?s transfer window, but now Lazio are reportedly lining up a big-money swoop.

?We have had contact with Lazio,? confirmed the player?s agent Patrizia Pighini on Radio Radio TV.

?Claudio Lotito [pictured] is interested because he wants a player who can set the Stadio Olimpico on fire with his skills.?

Ederson is under contract at the Stade Municipal du Ray until 2010, but he has a clause in his contract that states he must be allowed to leave if a bid of over ?8m is presented.

The Biancocelesti may face competition from city rivals Roma as well as Valencia and Lyon, as all three sides had scouts watching the promising playmaker.

After a relatively quiet spell in the market, Lazio are also set to address their goalkeeper shortage after the retirement of Angelo Peruzzi and sale of Matteo Sereni.

River Plate custodian Juan Pablo Carrizo and Inter reserve Fabian Carini reportedly top their wish list.

Lazio have signed Lionel Scaloni 29yr old a LB from Argentina's racing Santander. He was a member of the Argentine national team in Germany and a member of Depor. la Coruna. He has played 60 champions league matches. This is a VERY good pick up and will help us out tremendously. Bravo Lotito, avanti cosi!!!!!!!! 05 04 06 07

^^ I was just going to post this. But I read his name is Sebastien and he might be used in defense on the right. I think this is so Behrami can play on the right wing and not in defense. He signed for 5 years...

Lotito has announced the purchase of Mourad Meghni, 23 yeal old french midfielder. I believe this means that Jimenez will be leaving. Lotito didn't like what he said a while ago and said "I want players that want to play for Lazio....not merceneries that will only play because they receive a lot of money". Apparently he also said that Scaloni refused 950'000 euros per season to come play with Lazio for only 500'000.
Also, Bonetto went to Bologna, Belleri is now on the market, Jimenez should be leaving and Foggia is supposed to go somewhere "on loan". Palermo is not interested anymore in purchasing him.
Lotito also said that there should be another 2-3 players purchased, with a goalie being the main focus.
Regarding rumors of Jimenez going to rioma, Lotito said that they would not go directly to the merdes to sell him. He said there is a huge international market that is interested and he would also not sell a player like him (good) to a team that could be a direct competitor for our goals for next season.
Bravo....fuck rioma.

Forza Lazio.

Rumour is that Lazio are entertaining the idea of bringing back bobo Vieri. Initially, I thought, bullocks to that but the more I think of it, the more I like it...for the right price! Carrizo is apparently days from signing for the Biancocelesti...boh.
